Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kid Vibe. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kid Vibe, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump right into the heart of things. Outsiders often think businesses or industries have much larger profit margins than they actually do – the reason is that outsiders are often unaware of the biggest challenges to profitability in various industries – what’s the biggest challenge to profitability in your industry?
It’s all about consistency & making things easier to navigate in the business world. For example if you’re a Hip-Hop artist trying to sell your music or content you need to have viewers & fans. How do you get those fans exactly? It’s by learning different processes and trying new things to learn what works best through trial and error. What works you keep it and you learn how you can use it to your best abilities. 75% of businesses hire people market their business so they make more revenue. If you can learn these processes on your own than you can take your business or hobby to the next level

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
When I was in high school some college speakers came in to talk about poetry, raps, and other English subjects within a certain college program. My friends dared me to go on stage and battle rap, a college major. As soon as I got off the stage, I knew that I made a mistake and continued working on my skills to become a better musician. I was the laughing stock of high school, and everyone made fun of me. After 6 years, numerous tours, and workshops I started to feel like I knew a good amount of information in this industry. Therefore I started helping other artist and other companies grow their audience & profits larger. There are a lot of people who take advantage of others, who don’t know as much about social media and growing their audience. I wanted to be the change in the industry and a positive figure to grow other influencers and businesses. After 2 years of hard work & consistent practices I finally put together a structured business model for my business. Within one year we had over 500 clients and was scaling up our business. Hard work pays off as long as you’re consistent.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
When it comes to funding your business the first thing to think about is how long do you want to operate your business? Then, secondly do you want to think will your funds last that long? For example, if you’re opening up hardware store and only have enough inventory for one month and you don’t sell it all. How will you get new inventory for those who don’t want what you’re selling currently? You either have to invest in more inventory, or sell the rest of what you have. Therefore, if you can start a company selling services with wholesale supplies, or cheap labor you increase your prices for services and make more profit depending on how many clients you have.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
When COVID-19 started music venues and musicians were making less money to spend on services. This was a large hit for our business as we went from 500 clients to less than 100 clients within a two years span. Therefore, we had to start looking for a different type of client focusing more of our business towards new restaurants, larger companies, and artist / musicians that weren’t suffering from Covid-19 related issues. This made it so we could focus on helping other businesses while staying afloat.
