We recently connected with Ki’ara Taylor and have shared our conversation below.
Ki’ara, appreciate you joining us today. Do you take vacations? How do you keep things going – any advice for entrepreneurs who feel like they can’t step away from their business for a short vacation?
No matter how big or small, vacations are a must! Whether it’s a day trip, short/long stay, domestic or international getaway they are all a form of self care.
I encourage everyone to take at least 3 vacations per year; this may include a staycation, solo trip and family vacation. It’s extremely important to prioritize yourself especially while balancing entrepreneurship. My advice for times when it may be difficult to step away, would be scheduling vacations at least 6 months in advance. By scheduling in advance you’re able to plan and prepare. Schedule your next trip while ending your current one, this will motivate you to take time to relax. Take advantage of the deals offered while on a cruise or sent by your travel agent!

Ki’ara, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi! My name is Ki’ara Taylor and I am a traveling foodie that currently resides in Lexington, KY. I run a social account that explores local restaurants, entertainment and traveling experiences.
All while creating content, I operate an Event Planning business that specializes in luxury picnics and event services.
I developed a fondness for food & events at a very young age. My family is full of soulful women that have molded me into who I am today. Without them, there would be no me. I’ve been extremely blessed to be able to grow around talented women.
One thing that sets me apart from others would be devotion to my work. I am very passionate about my craft and strive to provide nothing but the best for my supporters. I’ve been able balance school, motherhood and a full time career all while following my dreams as a content creator and event specialist.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Consistency is the best way to keep your audience involved and engaged. I run several accounts across various platforms as a way to stay in touch with supporters. I’ve created many lines of communication to remain up to date with concerns and questions that clients may have. Brand loyalty is built by creating a safe space for supporters. This may look different for many but remains important for all.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building an audience is a working progress. This is a longterm commitment that has no scheduled end date. Unfortunately there is no rulebook or answer key on how to build an audience. Overall it has been a learning experience & a wave that I find myself still riding.
I’ve been about to build my audience by being present/consistent online and designating time to put into my craft. Ive been introduced to many tips on growing an audience, but the best in my opinion is simply showing up as your authentic self both online and in person.
