Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kiara S. Miles. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kiara, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think Corporate America gets wrong in your industry?
I am in the industry of career building, life coaching, and leadership. Corporate America has made working more complex than it has to be. There are tons of amazing jobs out there, however with poor management they have ruined great employees. There aren’t any actual trainings available other than it being a norm to come in and just work a 9-5 which makes most dread working and feeling stuck or complacent.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers?
I began my journey almost 5 years ago. I created The Job Cartel, P.C. in hopes to help others expand their skills, passions, and financial status. While starting my business, I became a first-time mom. I wanted to be able to create a way for our community to grow in the realm of job opportunities while parenting as best as they could, which became the greatness of showing others how to “work from home”. My most proud moment is to be able to manage a lifestyle as a mom FIRST and a Public Figure immediately after. I am now a 9x Award-Winning Career Consultant, assisting internationally as well as domestically.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
As if life isn’t hard enough. I have a child with a rare blood disease, G6PD, and every day is different one way or another. With this, sometimes we have hospital stays, long nights, and early mornings. I am a mother first, yes, however, I also have an obligation to my clients and a mission to fill. This is the most challenging of them all, especially when he is sickly. He is a true mama baby lol he requires a lot of my time. Most times I am literally working with him in my lap. I know that it is none other than Jehovah who has gotten us through this.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn that lesson of pleasing every single person that you come across. I unlearned the hard way. I have serviced many all around the country and internationally, and to my surprise there is no way to please every single individual. It doesn’t matter how big or small the issues are, someone will be unpleased. You have to learn how to take it with a grain of salt, remove your personal feelings, address the issue, fix it if you can, maybe even take that loss, but you must keep pushing!
