Hi Kiara, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career
I believe my biggest challenge post college was that I was NOT at all prepared for life to happen so quickly. I graduated college with a host of unknowns and no sure plan on how to really accomplish the things I desired.
If I could change anything about the educational system, it would be creating a realistic space for career planning.
In this space, I would help prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career by simply showing them the reality on what they seek.
For example, for the student who is money driven and desires to have a salary of 80k a year, a proper career planning environment would demonstrate the careers that yield that type of income as a college graduate.
It would also show the realistic earnings of the career field he or she is interested in and how long it may take to yield a salary of 80k.
Ultimately, it would help place life after college into perspective in terms of finances.
I would also educate students on selecting a major, trade school, budgeting, and overall financial literacy as all of these items play a major roll in living a more fulfilled life and career.

I am native of a small town called, Tallassee, AL and I am the Founder of The Potts Foundation, Inc. and Key Inspires, Writing and Resume Services. I use my platform to inspire others to become confident in their pursuit of a professional career while offering motivational nuggets of encouragement to fuel their personal ambitions.
Ultimately, Key Inspires is a connection of all things that encourage the growth of an individual personally, spiritually, and professionally. What started off as a simple, unintentional, hashtag has blossomed into a business that pushes your overall growth and development as a person.
My consistent growth, challenges, burdens, and development within these areas is what birthed the vision of Key Inspires. My goal is to help ensure you are successful in all walks of life.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe my reputation was built simply by word of mouth and personalized experiences.
For a year, I tested my business motto with clients who came to me by word of mouth only. My initial clientele began with family and friends. As I completed their resumes and success came shortly after, they would share my contact information with someone else.
After a year, I began to more formally advertise my business via social media but the vast majority of my clients were purely word of mouth. As I formalized my process, I discovered by hidden gem was personalization.
When asking myself questions on how to standout as a business owner within a saturated market with companies who could produce faster, I realized each and every one of my ‘competitors’ lacked a personalized experience with their clients.
It was in this moment, I began implementing 30-minute consultations to create a personal experience for each client. Years later, it still a major success for business and the best decision I’ve made.



How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with my clients and foster brand loyalty by following up and being consistent in my follow-ups.
I know it sounds simple but it really is that simple.
We are all very busy individuals and sometimes, we start a process and something else quickly becomes a top priority. So as a result, we unintentionally drop the ball.
Because I understand that sometimes life happens, I keep Key Inspires at the forefront of each and every potential and past client’s mind.
When starting my business, I complied a list of every client who reached out to me. The list is categorized by month and I follow-up with clients who contacted me for services on a monthly basis.
I reach out to clients post services on a quarterly basis.
Again, all things go back to personalization. As I follow-up with clients, I establish brand loyalty and open communication at all times.
