Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kiara Hicks. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kiara, appreciate you joining us today. What were some of the most unexpected problems you’ve faced in your business and how did you resolve those issues?
The expected errors and issues I faced was running into trials and errors . I wasted so much material day by day until I continued doing my own research and perfecting my craft . I was so frustrated and wanted to give up , but I knew I couldn’t give up because I knew customizing things was my thing and my passion . Once I focused and sat down to deeply learn the details and researched throughly , you couldn’t tell me nothing . I was getting better and better at it and was able to learn many different things . I had the mindset that I know I can do anything else I put my mind to .

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I first took a class back in highschool , that’s how I knew how to make a shirt . I was so focused and determined to have my first custom shirt design done correctly. What sets me apart from others is always making sure my customer service is great. I make sure I offer my customers the best high quality materials and take my time in every thing I do . I want every one to know when dealing with my business I never fail or disappoint . I have always received great feedback and have customers who are always satisfied about their order and I always have customers who return back and refer others to me.
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
I personally funded my own business out of pocket, I have never took out a loan or anything to get what I needed . Everything I brought was with my own cash and until this day I still use my own funds to get what I need . Funding your business out of your pockets is definitely not the best thing , but I budget myself and pay for my materials a step at a time and when it’s needed .

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
I currently only sell on my website so I can keep up with my funds coming in on one platform . I am working on selling on Amazon to see if it will help my business better and increase my sales . I am working on turning my views into sales since I do get so many of them from all over the world. My only issues is learning how to market and market the right way and growing ads on different platforms . I was on Etsy , but it wasn’t doing me no good for my business and it was certain features they didn’t have that I needed .
