Kiara, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

The first time I knew I wanted to pursue a creative and artistic path professionally was immediately after high school. I always was into painting and just being creative! I knew I wanted to start my own business as a Crafter and designer.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I started keyzART 2016 offering just one service which was custom Wall Letters. These letters were hand painted and designed according to the theme and color you requested. These letters were designed to compliment any party, room or theme. The amount of service I received from painting letters were amazing but I wanted to do more and I knew I could do more! The following year, I added more services to KeyzART including Shoe and clothing customization, wall painting/designing, party favors and treats. I was unaware of the amount of traffic and orders I would receive after adding more services but keyzART has flourished ever since. KeyzART has been a big impact to the community and others servicing over 12 states. KeyzART is not just a business. It’s a passion. It’s something I have watched grow from not having not one customer to being overbooked. KeyzART will continue to grow. My goal is to get more involved with the kids. Every year I host a Craft camp where kids throughout the community can come out and learn different crafting techniques and skills. I noticed a lot of kids are more involved with technology and I wanted to change that. I want kids to understand that they can be creative and create almost anything. My goal is to keep Art and creativity alive.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Consistency is key! It will not happen overnight but it’s possible.

Promote your business no matter what.

When I’m on social media, I create a world of my own where it’s just me and my business. I don’t allow the move of people to determine nothing I have going on. I notice some people get lost or lose hope in entrepreneurship when they notice they not getting the feedback and which they wish to receive. You must stay consistent no matter the traffic, lack of support or any roadblocks. The only thing matter is you showing up and that will eventually pay off!

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

I enjoy making an impact on people especially children. The feeling of knowing you have little people who admire you is definitely amazing! I wouldn’t trade it for nothing.
