Alright, Kiara thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

My mission is to provide high quality images my clients will love and cherish, all while providing a fun, easy and comfortable experience both in front and behind the camera. Connecting with my clients and getting to know what they want helps me execute my job. I like to really understand the look that they’re going for and using my expertise to do that, or even assisting them if they need help. I make mood boards for them to help visualize what it is that they may want.

Kiara, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Kiara and I am a portrait photographer based in Atlanta, GA. I got into photography about 6 years ago through creating videos on YouTube. I bought my first DSLR camera to make better quality videos and then I began taking self portraits with that camera. I would create my own backdrops and although I loved taking self-portraits, I wanted to focus the camera on other people and solely be behind the camera for once, instead of being the photographer, model, set designer, etc. That’s how I began to fall in love with photography.

Overtime, I started to help entrepreneurs, business owners and other creatives by providing them with images that they needed and wanted whether it be for their personal brand, brand campaigns for the product and retail based businesses and helping models to update their portfolio.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect to me, is seeing my clients happy. I love when they love their pictures and use them for what they intended to.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Social media and word of mouth have been the best source of new clients for me. I’ve had clients and fellow photographers (whom I know on social media) refer me to others as well. That to me is the biggest thing because it shows they genuinely like me and my work as well as trust me enough to tell people about me and my business.
