Alright, Kiana thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
Well it’s funny because I didn’t want to do this marketing method although I had to put my pride away in regards to the start up of my small business, so I gained my first client from Groupon Merchant Services and what’s even crazier is that she is my longest client I’ve had till this day!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Firstly let me introduce myself – my name is Kiana Tanner and I’m the owner/service provider of Ippo Skin & Wellness. I have been a licensed esthetician for going on 8 years now and 2 years deep into my business. I specialize in customizable facial treatments, sugar waxing, also teeth whitening. Ippo is Korean meaning “pretty” and I am mixed with Korean hence why I chose the name, therefore I’m all about the Korean skincare. Personally I do enjoy being considered a one stop shop for clients needs so they’re not just settling for a single service and to efficiently correct their concerns involving their skin needs. I am most proud of how far I’ve overcome however I am nowhere near finished on what needs to accomplished with my brand. Lastly, I strive to continuously stay up to date on latest trends in the beauty industry and to utilize social media on content creations!
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Email blasts, text messages, and often pre-booking them in advance alongside word of mouth referrals.
What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
All I have to say is that it is slowly transitioning to that and each day I’m taking it slow and steady. Besides having access to social media platforms, in person vendor events helped tremendously for marketing purposes with the brand and introducing the services I offer as an operator.
