We recently connected with Ki Shuntiel and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Ki thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?
No, I have not been able to earn a full-time living for my creative work. While on my journey, I’ve worked full time on the side to invest into my creative work. If, I’d known what I know now, I believe that it may have been a smoother process. I feel that if I was a bit more informed I wouldn’t experience so much “burn out”. However, I do believe that I am on God’s timing. Not my own.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I began working creating custom Color Stains Biker Shorts and T-shirt sets in the summer of 2016. The Color Stains sets would only be available for purchase over the Summer and not year-round. After receiving order requests for Color Stains throughout the year, I decided to take the next step to making Color Stains an official business & naming it THREE THIRTY-THREE. The demand for Color Stains sets year-round motivates me to keep going and expand the brand beyond bike shorts and t-shirts sets and create something unique for the fall and winter seasons. That is when I decided to create the original Tie Dye Color Stains sets. We currently make custom items on demand year round, the choice is up to the customer.
Our custom Color Stains give our customers an opportunity to collaborate with us to create a custom look that is one of a kind.

Is there a mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to create a space for people of all ages to come and create as a form of art therapy. A space where we introduce ways to express themselves through art and creativity.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative, is coming up with something new and bringing your vision to life.
