We were lucky to catch up with Khristopher Leach recently and have shared our conversation below.
Khristopher, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
My parents really instilled a strong work ethic in me from a young age. I watched them both work incredibly hard in everything they did, whether it was their professional responsibilities or personal commitments. Their dedication and perseverance were constant reminders of the importance of giving your best effort, no matter the task. This example inspired me to adopt the same mindset in my own life, striving to approach challenges with determination and resilience.
In addition to their work ethic, my parents also taught me to view each person as an individual, understanding that every person has their own unique story, experiences, and value. They made sure to show me that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and empathy. I saw how they interacted with others with genuine care and compassion, always willing to lend a hand or offer support whenever it was needed. Their hearts were always open to helping others, and it deeply influenced the way I perceive the world and the people in it. Their example has shaped my belief in the importance of kindness, service, and seeing the good in others
Khristopher, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I got into counseling because, from a young age, I always wanted to be a hero and help those in need. As I grew older, I realized I wasn’t going to become Superman, but I could still make a difference in people’s lives, one person at a time. I shifted my focus to helping others heal from whatever challenges or pain they may be facing, no matter how big or small.
I provide therapy for individuals, children, and couples dealing with a range of issues, from anxiety to intense trauma. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, VRET, Neurofeedback, and other techniques tailored to each client’s unique needs. My approach is humanistic, and I create individualized therapy plans that reflect each person’s specific experiences. I believe in seeing clients as whole individuals and treating them with the care and respect they deserve.
I’m passionate about incorporating cutting-edge therapies like Bio-Neurofeedback and Virtual Reality Immersion to offer innovative ways to support my clients. What I’m most proud of, though, is my ability to connect with people and make them feel truly heard. I strive to create an inclusive and supportive space where every individual can share their story. For me, the most important part of therapy is building a genuine connection with my clients and ensuring they feel cared for, valued, and empowered throughout their journey toward healing.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Providing great therapy for each individual has not only helped my clients achieve their personal goals, but it has also led to a growing number of clients referring their friends and families. By taking the time to understand each person’s unique needs and creating personalized, effective treatment plans, I’ve been able to build strong, trusting relationships with those I work with. This approach has fostered an environment where clients feel genuinely cared for and supported, making them more likely to recommend my services to others. These referrals are a testament to the positive impact of the therapy provided and the trust clients place in the care they receive. As a result, it has allowed me to reach even more people and continue helping others in a meaningful way, all while fostering a sense of community and connection among those seeking support
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I make it a priority to build strong, open lines of communication with each of my clients, which is why I provide them with my direct line. This allows them to reach out to me easily whenever they need support or have questions, even between scheduled sessions. To ensure that they always feel heard and cared for, I make a point of sending semi-frequent text messages and check-ins. These messages are not just about following up on progress; they are an opportunity for me to offer additional encouragement, remind them of their strengths, or simply let them know that I’m here for them. I believe that consistent communication is key to building trust and fostering a safe, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their challenges and victories.
In addition to the check-ins, I make myself available to talk with my clients outside of regular appointments. Whether they need advice, guidance, or just someone to listen to them, I’m always willing to offer my support. This commitment to accessibility helps my clients feel more supported and less isolated, knowing that they can reach out for advice or assistance whenever they need it. I believe that therapy is not limited to the confines of scheduled sessions; it’s an ongoing, dynamic process. By being available in between appointments, I can better support my clients in real-time as they navigate challenges or reflect on their growth, making their therapeutic experience more impactful and holistic
