Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Khontarat Techatrisorn. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Khontarat, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
‘give.me.museums’ came from the famous Picasso quote ‘give me a museum and i will fill it’ and I made it more catchy. I’m really don’t know what he’s really meant but for me ‘museum’ stand for a place to express art. Art should be anywhere. This name … to be accessible to anyone and anywhre not only in canvas, paper or art gallery. Not for an upper class or elite that can own them.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
give.me.museums is a thai artist that well-known for her brush-stokes in a style that wasn’t highly finished. She works primarily in hand paint. She has experienced with various clients like influencer, advertising agency, publication company, art and cultural museum, start-up, global-brand, local brand and independent artist. Our strength is freshness in every work. We’ve maintained the balance of our identity between brand, artist, and creator. We stay adaptive and resilient and avoid losing our identity when working with clients. Also, be creative! organic engagement and viral are crucial keys to supporting our social media campaign.
give.me.museums has a belief that art can be anywhere and should be accessible to everyone. Art should be something affordable. Not only for the upper class or elite who are wealthy. We blend our artwork with everyday life products such as tote bags, hats, and bandanas. And make them in good quality but still at a reasonable price. We want people to bring them anywhere, anytime, and match them with any style.
If our work is a museum or art gallery. We want our audience and visitors to come in and relax, and get away from the mess. Our product serves as a souvenir from a gift shop in a museum. When you finish visiting, you will want to get one or two art pieces back with you.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
1. Right now people are creating content on social media, if you do thing that doesn’t come from your heart, people will know because there are so many comparisons. Be sincere and honest with yourself in everything you do. Communication, creation, and product production. Every picture we post, every product we make, and every brand we collaborate with are well-selected and well-tested. We want to make sure that the people who support what we do only get the best quality made. If your audience believes in your brand and you have good quality products, you will surely get their loyalty.
2.
Sharing a good experience with your audience. Make them feel a part of your brand and it would be great if that experience was new. Because making a brand from art would make your brand quite stylish. On the bright side, people will remember it easily. On the other hand, if you’re not adaptive or do not develop yourself consistently, people tend to forget or get bored easily because your brand and content are not fresh and exciting anymore.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I think every brand should have all social media platforms because each one has its own audience and opportunity. Start with your base one that matches your personality the most and create content that also matches the audience but also shares the same core idea of your brand. Although give.me.museums has many platforms, every content that we create always represents the idea of bringing art to your daily life. For example, content for Instagram is sharing artwork like an online gallery/museum but content on Tiktok is behind the scenes/work to emphasize the story and share different aspects of the artist.
