Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kharis Collins. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kharis, appreciate you joining us today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?

As a creative There are always challenges, especially when it comes to an income. I always abide by giving advice that I will take myself. The advice is simply Do what you love first and then the income will come into fruition. My faith keeps me grounded and disciplined. I could work a 9 to 5 like many people in this world and I have worked tons of them. I utilized it to invest in my brand. My only strength is to keep trucking along in life through time but being fully present.

Kharis, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Kharis Collins Other Known as K.H.A.R.I.S. (Kind Hearts that Are Reaching out through Inspiration & Success) is originally a Jackson Mississippi native. He is a performing artist with many talents and titles such as Actor, Producer, Dancer, Singer, Comedian, and Designer. He grew up in the streets of Jackson and attended Provine High School, Shortly after high school he migrated to New York City to pursue the arts in many different forms. He started off performing at BAAD (Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance) where he performed a lot of his off broadway work and headline shows in the theater space. He also had the opportunity to dance for a few dance companies and perform all over the city. There He attended Both Bronx Community College and Received his degree in Performing Arts at The City College of New York. Kharis constantly challenges himself as life inspires him to create and cultivate. He released his EP entitled IN A WORLD FULL OF COLOR, with hit tracks like “I Refuse” and G.M.P.W.M. “Any Artistry that comes from me is a true gift from God, it’s his way of speaking to me”- K.H.A.R.I.S. He is also the founder and owner of Khavy’ Official which is a luxurious headwear brand of three components which are Health, Haircare, and Fashion.

What Sets me apart is my Individuality and I’m most proud of my work coming into fruition. I love for my fans to know how authentic I am and how I am always loving to fulfill my purpose. My music always sets people in a good mood whether you are twerking, rising up first thing in the morning, or turning anything negative to positive.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

This answer is Easy. It’s God, purpose and Life itself. All these things tie together for me. God is the reason for everything. He helps me see my vision and provides purpose, which is inspired by my experiences in life.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

My resilience has always come from me being humble. I come from a poor family and that has shifted my focus to always want more and to work hard for whatever comes my way. It has taught me to be appreciative and that our lives and the situations that happen in them are not by accident.
