Alright, Khalia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Parents can play a significant role in affecting how our lives and careers turn out – and so we think it’s important to look back and have conversations about what our parents did that affected us positive (or negatively) so that we can learn from the billions of experiences in each generation. What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.

My Mom, Phyllis Jordan, who is now my Angel taught me how to be responsible at a young age. She taught me how important it is to handle your business and take care of responsibilities so that life is easier. Transitioning to a entrepreneur has many different levels and understanding how to not only handle my business but run a business are things my Mother unknowingly prepared me for and I am so appreciative of her for always believing in me and pushing me to reach me Fullest potential.

Khalia , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I have always been a creative. Music, Fashion, Design and Photography have always been passions of mine. Then one day I just decided to learn the business side of photography and content creating. Social media is the easiest way to brand yourself or a business but people most do not invest in quality photos or video production. My company Kma Kontent is service based production company. We create high value marketable photos+videos for brands and business’s. I am most proud of my company being in high demand after its first year in business and the continuous referrals from new and returning clients.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I had to learn that is ok to be a student and learn from people you admire, vulnerability was hard for me. As a leader it is ok to follow and ask for help and outsource help. Building a business network of other content creators, videographers, and photographers is important, especially for big events. People at the bottom are in competition but people at the top are collaborating.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Building a brand and followers is a challenge but when you have quality content I feel people are most likely to follow you to see what your next move is and to see if your services will fit their brand. My main goal is to only produce high quality photos and videos not only for my clients but for my audience. I want you to see a picture or video and say that looks like Kma Kontent’s production. #Goals
