Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Khaleel Ray. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Khaleel, thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
My work and Career had been something that was always misunderstood as i was climbing up the ladder In life. But more Importantly who I was as a person… I’ve never had a friend group, i’ve always walked the path i want and was never peer pressured into doing things i don’t want to do. Even my confidence, it’s been second to none basically my whole life. People like to tell me i have a ginormous ego, and i think i’m better than those around me, when that was never the case. I’m just aiming for something that you don’t understand and to make it were i wanna be i have no room to doubt myself, So if i haven’t reached my goals i might not seem approachable. So when you’re aiming for the top expect to be misunderstood.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For those who don’t know me I’m Khaleel Ray. I’m going to be one of the greatest entertainers of all time. But right now my goal is to become one the biggest creators on youtube. I do social experiments with the public, I pretended to be the Weeknd for halloween and had 15 bodyguards with me for a video, and i have a lot more ideas to execute on. My mission is to inspire people to be their own goats! Which to me means to be a leader, to inspire and ignite a flame to become the best version of yourself. Or in simple terms be your own goat. What sets me a part from other creators is i don’t make videos just to get millions of views, thats cool and all, but i’m here to build a community of supporters a lot of people see their fans as numbers, but no matter how small or big i am i see everyone as a member of my family. I’m going to make the best videos not only for me but my community and a lot of creators don’t do that.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most Rewarding thing being a Creative is seeing the final product… When i see how my video came out i think people are going to love this. And then i get to do it all over again. On top of that the responses from your supporters or people who are seeing it for the first time is always a huge factor into keeping motivation. This may seem a little self absorbed but when I go to school or i’m out in public and someone stops me and says “Yooo!! are you Khaleel Ray” Is one of the most crazy feelings as of right now on my journey.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
To all the young artists, and creatives. Remember this. How do you plan to make it to the top by just fitting it? You don’t. You stand out. You do things other people are afraid to do, you take risks. Never… Ever be afraid to stand out, because that was me. I was afraid to show my talent and skill to the world because i thought i would fit in better. As soon as i started Acting, making videos and put my purpose first thats where my life started to change. I grew a following and started getting more views on my videos and I might not be at the Top right now, but you better believe you’ll see me there soon. If you’re in this field set a routine, make an action plan. I do 2 videos on youtube a month, 3 shorts a week. I stick to that. Stick to the plan and be someone your younger self would be Inspired by.
