We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Khadejah Stegall a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Khadejah, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you share a customer success story with us?
Many clients come to us with a vision to launch a product, but they have no idea how to execute their vision. That’s where my team comes in! One of our clients was great at wholesaling mobile homes and wanted to launch an ebook. She wrote the ebook but needed the ebook to be designed, a landing page to sell the ebook, and an email sequence to engage those that bought her ebook. My team and I took her vision and made it come to life! She was able to have a $20k launch from a $97 ebook and continues to make sales on it currently. The best thing about the work we do is helping our client’s vision come to life.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Thrive Virtually is an online business support agency that specializes in Operations, Administration and Tech support! We serve coaches who are passionate about providing programs and courses to help their audience break generational curses in their lives and legacy.
I started my virtual assistant business in 2018. I needed a flexible work-from-home job and learned about the industry through a webinar. What was supposed to start off as a side-hustle turned into a business! I was able to bring in a sufficient amount of income that didn’t require me to go back into the corporate world. Fast forward, I hired my first subcontractor one year into the business because I needed help. Referrals came in and I found myself a little burnt out managing client work, home life, kids, marriage, etc. I knew I wanted to scale the company, but not at the expense of me being busy all the time. The scaling method I chose was to create an agency.
I love providing work-from-home opportunities for other women and mothers that need a consistent and reliable source of income.
The agency focuses on setting up strategic systems for online coaches and managing their day-to-day operations. Many CEOs run their business without any processes in place and are a one-woman show. We help our clients by automating tasks in their business, setting up software/systems, and helping them with ongoing support by managing the daily responsibilities it takes with running a business.
Our services include Online Business Management, Dubsado/Honeybook Setups, Launch Management/Support, Operations & tech support. We’ve helped our clients save over 20 hours/week and have $20k digital product launches with our services.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
I always tell people, to focus on doing great work with your current clients and they will refer you. We’ve built our business through referrals and tapped into a huge network that benefits from our services. Many of our clients know each other and are in the same industry.
Any advice for managing a team?
When it comes to managing a team, you need to actually take the time out to properly train your team and setup up standard operating procedures they can follow. I love using loom which is a video recording app to record myself doing client work or work that is needed for my business internally. This cuts down on mistakes happening and creates team members who take initiative and are confident in the work they do.
