We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Keya Isler. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Keya below.
Alright, Keya thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I always knew I wanted to start a business; I just needed to figure out where to start. I graduated high school in 2017 and attended Livingstone College, pursuing my degree in business administration. In the second semester of my first year, I knew I was ready to start my own business. Livingstone helped me start my clothing brand from scratch in 2019. I put my business courses to use; it was no other way. This was meant for me. It was right in front of me. All I had to do was the work. My clothing brand was named, Kash2Krazy. The first product I released in 2019 was a black T-shirt with K2K. The people went KRAZY on campus. They were buying them left to right, and I even had people back home asking me to send them a shirt. That’s when I knew I could never stop cause I had major support & I could actually see it. This year August 20th, 2023, will make 5 years for K2K being in business.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Kash2Krazy provides high-quality kozy klothing & accessories through a unique process. We have affordable apparel for men, women & kids. We sell 90% of our products online & the other 10% on hand. What makes us different from others is our authenticity & durability. We are not like other brands & we do not make what other brands make. Every release is created, processed, and designed by our CEO. Our motto is “If it ain’t Kash, it ain’t Krazy,” just like our clothing. Our reviews can even speak for us. We created our kash wave for others to ride & enjoy because we are not your average clothing brand.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built by brand by starting out on Instagram. Every post I would post, I would then create hashtags to fit that post. Then I created a, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest & a TikTok. Why? Because I felt like I needed more exposure & I always wanted to stay up to date with the latest or I would feel as I am behind. The only advice I give to anyone in business today, is RESEARCH. You have to always research topics in your niche so you can stay up to date & never feel behind in the business world no matter what you offer.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy thats been growing my business is, TikTok & reels. I can say I honestly enjoy making reels because it’s more interesting than posts now a days.
