We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kevon Butler a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Kevon , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?

I like to bring authenticity and creativity. Captivating and showing your style and doing it with a purpose can make you go far. I express myself through my clothes and pictures. Wearing bold and daring clothes is a representation of who I am as a person.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I am a business owner of the clothing brand, Venom Clothing. I created the brand to showcase my unique clothes and also let people wear similar clothes as me. The brand was created on my birthday which is November 12. The brand’s first anniversary is slowly approaching. Make sure you guys support a young African American male and shop Venom Clothingg.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?

I majored in English in college. Reading has also been one of my passions along with writing. I’ve learned that everyone has different paths in life. Buying E-books can’t promise you a bright future. I’ve learned to read everything motivational and nothing promising. A great book would be to read is, “The Gucci Mane Guide to Greatness.”

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

The best source for new customers would be to give them great customer service and quick shipping. I’ve learned that it creating a relationship and fast service is top priority.
