We recently connected with Kevion Devante’ and have shared our conversation below.
Kevion, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Have you ever experienced a times when your entire field felt like it was taking a U-Turn?
When I first thought of having a career… A job… It was to become a veterinarian of some sort… I began studying biological sciences/pre-veterinary medicine in community college after being awarded scientific achievements in high school while continuing my musicianship in band scholarships. One thing about it is that when I started out, I didn’t want to fully acknowledge or accept my talents to merge the two pursuits. Growing up, most people were taught that you pick either science and math… or spirit and fine arts… but both lived inside of me.
So, since my undergraduate studies in biology, ecology, biochemistry in the states and abroad in Kazakhstan, I continued to dive deeper into metaphysics, yoga and ancient eastern text about the bio-capabilities of vibratory and auditory sound waves. I gained a lot of clarity about life when I realized the wholeness of what it meant to be in the “university” the “oneness”! I pioneered an academic mobility program between HBCU, Mississippi Valley State and WKSU and was the 1st American to study at the 2nd largest university in the 9th largest county in the world! When I returned to the US, I worked for the USDA-ARS for a while in plant pathology research. Then, I went on to study chiropractic for animal care until redirecting my pursuits again during COVID-19 back to my home state to go deeper in the fundamental struggles of humanity. The time spent in Asia and my additional international scientific research & awards of recognition really helped me presently work in each single field of my unique expertise as they all relate and resonate with one another.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hey, I’m Kevion (KEE-VEE-Yin) Devanté (DEE-VON-TAE). The founder & creator of Livin’ InnerG, an alternative health, wellness and yoga company for the spiritual advancement of individuals, groups and communities through practices of harmonic sound therapies, energyworks, esoteric education, mindfulness and natural earth medicines to balance the mind, body and soul. I am a musical biologist, sacred teacher, and multidisciplinary artist born & raised down south in the Mississippi Delta.
My career path is like a tree… full of branches and deeply rooted across fields… I’m an instrumentalist and work in several industries of work such as agriculture studies, holistic wellness programs, performing arts, network marketing, media relations, etc. In my “InnerG” practice, I use what I like to call ‘melodies of tonality’ to attune the body’s chakras and bio-patterns via techniques of psychoacoustics & vibratory brainwave entrainment. I perform ceremonies, events, healing modalities, services and offer holistic products like smudges, teas and crystals worldwide. I often conduct immersive sound attunements in spiritual exercises to help others with various stressors, physical restorations, mental clarity, energetic releases, deaths, births and much more… Choosing the most suitable crystal resonant frequencies for healing sessions is a critical point in specification of proper “InnerG” work.
It’s all about being in alignment with the LIFE we’re livin’. One path I’m currently working on in Mississippi is being a CTE Diversified Agriculture Educator in the local districts and also in partnership with some national and state organizations in response to the food apartheid in the rural state. I still continue to travel back and forth to locations in the U.S. monthly for my specialized “InnerG” work with individuals and select groups; such as Yoga Teacher Trainings at Southwest Atlanta Yoga Energy Center in Georgia. One of my many duties being back in my home state of Mississippi is to bring about the seeds to grow the change in one of America’s poorest, richest environments. The courses I teach in the school systems focus on providing an opportunity for students to explore the different fields of the agricultural sciences and develop foundational techniques and knowledge needed for the employable skills in ecology, plants, animals, technological mechanization, business and entrepreneurship.
To live on eARTh and in the heART, is all about how we ARTiculate ourselves within. When people hear “artist” they think about what genre of ART they identify you with, but I’ve realized that the most rewarding aspect of being an artist/creative is the understanding that your work is bigger than you or whatever industry you serve… It’s about connection and a true relationship with God, the Higher Power, the Universe that allows all of us to become a vessel for the co-creation of life and how we express and cultivate our ART together.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Doing my inner work and then getting out in the public… It’s a part of my personal mindfulness practice. I finally got my website published with even more coming soon! I use every moment in the feel/field with others intentionally. I follow universal laws in engaging in forums of people to allow natural alignments for expansion to occur. Everywhere I go I’ve learned to attract the vibrations necessary to connect & grow. I have to use my perspective and vision (imagination) of what I’m manifesting for authentic inclusion in building those meaningful relationships with others.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think my lifestyle blends with my business… If you know something about me, then you know something about my business. My hobbies, interests, places I visit and travel to, podcast conversations and time spent still studying all help me with my marketing of my products & services… I have high standards of integrity and character about my craft.
