We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kevion Devante’. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kevion below.
Kevion , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
Being a musician at a young age helped me learn about LIFE! When I achieved scholarships for college I began to integrate my scientific academia with the creative understanding of “nature” and “sound” and how it applies to everything around us! I started to teach myself more about the universal language independently during my time in Asia. And honestly, knowin’ what I know now.. about the speed of time and the process.. is that it’s truly at the pace of your own beating heart. We learn best from those rhythms inside. I am educated, trained and professionally skilled in the fields of biological sciences, media/photography, modeling, music, yoga and a few other disciplines but, I believe playing my trumpet was the most essential skill to every other thing I do today and I’m gettin’ back into it! The true obstacles become how you use the time, in each moment, when you realize you are time.. In a verse of life with no rehearsal!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is pronounced Kevion (KEE-VEE-Yin) Devanté (DEE-VON-TAE). I am a multidisciplinary artist born & raised down south in Mississippi. It’s all about the “InnerG” for me. I’ve been told my presence has its own kind of sound. I mean I was made in the birthplace of music… I’d believe they’re right.
I conduct attunements using musical sound immersion therapy with Tibetan Crystal Singing Bowls, specifically Quartz. I also include an array of other musical instruments during my sound sessions as well such as the Didgeridoo, Kalimba, Ocarina, etc.
.
In Reiki, using the most suitable crystals for healing sessions is a critical point in specification of energy work. I am able to provide much insight about how to handle this ancient technology.
My motto has been, ”Explore the Charge” to elaborate on the benefits of programming crystals and how to do so by incorporating proper vibrational resonance and bring feng shui into the time-space of consciousness.
We all hold the volume to use the elements within and around us to enhance our self-awareness and control of the emotional mind-body’s internal and external stimuli in full sound/vibration and co-creation with “The Higher Power”… We are all connected to that… My work in spiritual guidance and journeying uses psychic intuitions & specific intentions to reflect the imbalances and duality of each “being”.
My mission with “Livin InnerG” is to integrate my talent of sound into scientific academia for the spiritual advancement of all people.
In my practice, I use what I like to call ‘melodies of tonality’ to attune the chakras and the body’s structure integrity via techniques of psychoacoustics & vibratory brainwave entrainment. I perform sacred ceremonies, healing modalities and offer holistic products, events & services in several locations throughout the world. I’m always willing to travel!
Since my studies abroad in Asia, I’ve been diving deeper into metaphysics, yoga and Eastern sacred text about the capabilities of vibratory and auditory sound waves. My international scientific research & awards of recognition really helped me work in each single field of my unique expertises as they all relate to one another. Music, Biology, Fashion, Education, AgriCULTURE.. the list goes on.
Everything is truly alive & connected.
It’s all about the balance of LIFE. I’m currently working in the Mississippi Delta as a CTE Diversified Agriculture Educator in the local districts and also partnership with some national and state organization in responds to the food apartheid. I still continue to travel back and forth to locations in the U.S. monthly for my specialized work with individuals and select groups. One of my many duties being back in my home state is to bring about the seeds to grow the change in one of America’s poorest, richest environments. The courses I teach in the school systems focuses on providing an opportunity for students to explore the different fields of the agricultural sciences and develop foundational skills and knowledge needed for advancement in ecology, plants, animals, technological mechanization, business and entrepreneurship.
Life is ART. You can’t spell eARTh without it.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn the LESSon of what most other Americans of Color in the South have too.. The lack of.. Period. That perspective is or was purely systematic for several reasons. We’re all unlearning HIStory as we knew it, that’s the backstory! I believe these days we all see how great each HUman being is in their own beautiful reflections of self-expression.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Most people think that being an artist is about what ART they identify you with, but I’ve realized that the most rewarding aspect of being an artist/creative is the understanding that your work is bigger than you or whatever industry you serve. It’s truly a relationship with God, the Higher Power, the Universe that allows us to become a vessel for the co-creation of life and how we ARTiculate it together.
