Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kevin Wachira. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kevin, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
At Produce Section Creative Agency, our mission is to create a platform that empowers artists, small businesses, and creatives to authentically share their stories, ideas, and talents with the world. We aim to bridge the gap between raw creativity and professional execution by providing services like media production, merchandise design, event planning, and more. Our ultimate goal is to help individuals and brands turn their visions into impactful realities.
This mission is deeply meaningful to me because it stems from personal experience and the challenges I’ve witnessed others face. When I first started my journey as a creative, I realized how many talented individuals struggled to find the resources, guidance, or platforms necessary to showcase their work. Whether it was a lack of connections, limited technical expertise, or simply not knowing where to start, I saw firsthand how these barriers prevented incredible ideas from reaching their full potential. I wanted to create a space where those barriers didn’t exist—a space where creativity could thrive and collaboration could flourish.
Produce Section Creative Agency is built on the belief that art and creativity are powerful tools for connection and change. By helping others express their unique perspectives, we not only support their individual growth but also contribute to a larger, more vibrant creative community. This mission resonates deeply with me because it’s not just about delivering services—it’s about fostering a culture of empowerment, authenticity, and collaboration.
Seeing the impact we’ve made, whether it’s helping a small business launch a product, producing a project that moves people, or connecting a creative with new opportunities, reminds me why this work is so important. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that we’re helping people tell their stories in ways they never thought possible, and that’s a mission I’ll always be passionate about.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Kevin Wachira, and I am the founder of Produce Section Creative Agency, a boutique creative agency dedicated to helping artists, creatives, and small businesses bring their visions to life. My journey into this venture began during my undergraduate years at St. John’s University in Queens, NY, where I was immersed in a creative environment that inspired me to build something of my own. What started as a media and events collective—formerly known as Other People’s Harvest—offered me my first taste of curating creative opportunities. We produced media content, managed events, and even hosted a college radio show that provided a platform for underground artists and creatives to showcase their talents. These early experiences ignited my passion for supporting others in sharing their stories, and they laid the foundation for what would eventually evolve into Produce Section Creative Agency.
At Produce Section Creative Agency, our mission is to create opportunities for clients to express their unique stories, whether that’s through visual media, branded merchandise, or innovative events. We strive to solve the challenges that many creatives and small businesses face, such as limited resources, lack of technical expertise, or difficulties in building visibility and authentic connections. By providing tailored solutions and personalized service, we help our clients overcome these barriers and deliver their art, products, or messages to the world in impactful ways.
What sets us apart is our holistic approach to creativity. We’re not just service providers—we’re collaborators. Our team works closely with clients to truly understand their vision, ensuring that every project reflects their identity and resonates with their audience. We take pride in offering a space where creativity can flourish without boundaries, combining professionalism with a deep respect for the artistry and individuality of each client.
One of the achievements I’m most proud of is how we’ve grown while staying true to our mission. Whether it’s helping a business launch a product line, producing media that tells a compelling story, or organizing an event that connects people on a meaningful level, each project is a reflection of our commitment to excellence. The opportunity to see our clients thrive and know that we’ve played a role in their success is deeply rewarding.
For potential clients and collaborators, I want them to know that Produce Section Creative Agency is more than just a business—it’s a creative partner dedicated to turning ideas into realities. We believe in celebrating the grind but also appreciating the moments of success along the way. Whether you’re looking to elevate your brand, share your story, or create something entirely new, we’re here to help make it happen.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the most defining moments of resilience for Produce Section Creative Agency was the decision to rebrand during the pandemic in 2020. Before the rebrand, our work was heavily centered around in-person events and collaborations, but the restrictions of the pandemic forced us to rethink how we operated. The rebrand transformed the agency into a boutique creative hub, allowing us to expand our services in media production, merchandise, and product design. It was a pivotal moment that not only allowed us to adapt to the challenges of the pandemic but also positioned us for long-term growth.
The rebrand was just the new beginning of the journey. As a bootstrap business, continuing to grow came with its own challenges. Navigating technological hurdles, tested our resourcefulness, but it also pushed us to innovate and optimize how we worked. Traveling throughout the country to collaborate with clients became another key aspect of our resilience, helping us strengthen relationships and deliver personalized services despite external pressures.
Each of these challenges—embracing the rebrand, overcoming technological obstacles, and building connections through travel—became stepping stones that reinforced our mission and commitment to creating meaningful, impactful work. The rebrand wasn’t just a change in identity; it was a testament to our ability to adapt, persevere, and grow through adversity.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
When I started Produce Section Creative Agency, the business was completely bootstrapped. I didn’t have external investors or significant capital to lean on, so I relied on personal savings and a resourceful mindset to get the business off the ground. From the very beginning, I focused on using what I had—my skills, network, and creativity—to provide high-quality services and deliver value to clients. Every project and partnership was reinvested into the business, allowing it to grow step by step.
This bootstrapped approach taught me the importance of operating efficiently, prioritizing the most impactful investments, and being intentional with every decision. Over time, these efforts allowed the agency to become self-sufficient. As we’ve grown, we’ve been able to fund new initiatives, expand our offerings, and reinvest in tools and resources that elevate the quality of our work.
However, I firmly believe that additional funding would be essential to truly scale the business. With more resources, we could expand our reach, grow our team, and take on larger, more ambitious projects. That’s something we’re actively working toward—finding the right opportunities and partnerships to secure funding that aligns with our vision.
This journey has been both challenging and rewarding, and it’s made me deeply appreciate the value of hard work and strategic growth. I’m excited about what’s ahead and how we can take Produce Section Creative Agency to the next level.
