Kevin, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
If I could go back in time, I probably would’ve started my creative career much sooner. But when I was just getting started, the whole space was still so new. The opportunities that exist now for content creators and influencers weren’t really there yet — or at least, they weren’t as clear. Businesses were only just starting to understand the power of working with creators, and social media hadn’t fully evolved into what it is today.
I’ve always had an eye for visuals — taking pictures, creating content, coming up with marketing ideas. It came naturally to me. But I didn’t really have the platform or the audience to showcase it in a way that built a community. For a long time, I was in sales, but even there, I found ways to bring in my creative side — designing store setups, merchandising, finding ways to draw people in and make the space more engaging. That was marketing before I even realized it was marketing.
Then 2020 hit, and everything changed. The company I worked for got bought out, and that’s when my social media journey officially began. I started to explore content creation more seriously. I had traveled a lot growing up with my family, so being on a plane was nothing new to me — but I’d never really seen travel through the lens of tourism and cultural exploration. It wasn’t until I began traveling for work, catching flight deals, and being more intentional about experiencing new places that it all clicked.
When I started, I kind of knew what I wanted to do — I just had no clue how to do it. I didn’t know what tools to use, where to start, or even what success really looked like in this space. But little by little, I figured it out. I followed creators who inspired me, sharpened my marketing skills, leaned into trends, and slowly shaped my own visual style and storytelling voice.
Looking back, starting sooner could’ve given me a big advantage. But truthfully, I also think I was afraid — afraid of failing because I didn’t know what I was doing yet. Still, I wouldn’t change a thing about my journey. Learning as I went taught me so much. It allowed me to grow with the industry, to ask tough questions, and to build something that feels truly mine.
I’ve had the privilege of meeting amazing people, experiencing the highs and lows, and every moment has shaped who I am as a creator today. I know I still have so much to learn, but I also know I’ve worked hard to get where I am. Every opportunity I get is a blessing — and just the beginning.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I create high-quality, authentic travel and food content that helps people discover experiences they didn’t know they needed — whether it’s a cozy local restaurant, a destination off the beaten path, or a brand doing something different. I focus on storytelling through short-form video, photography, and social media strategy that resonates with audiences looking for real, relatable, and inspiring recommendations.
My content is always rooted in experience. I don’t just post pretty visuals — I aim to capture the vibe, the energy, the emotion behind a place. Whether I’m collaborating with restaurants, tourism boards, or small businesses, I look at how I can tell their story in a way that feels personal and compelling to my audience. My two Instagram platforms — one for travel, one for food — reach over 300K accounts per week, and my community is highly engaged and hungry for new adventures, eats, and culture.
What sets me apart is my eye for details and my ability to balance creativity with strategy. I come in with a content creator’s lens, but also with a marketing mindset — thinking about what’s going to move the needle for the brand while still feeling organic. I also make sure collaborations don’t just live in the moment; I offer long-term visibility through highlights, saves, and evergreen content that keeps performing.
What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built — with both my audience and the people I work with. I’ve built my brand from the ground up by being consistent, curious, and intentional. At the end of the day, I want potential partners and followers to know that I don’t just create for the algorithm — I create to connect. Every piece of content is thoughtful, experience-driven, and designed to make people feel something — and that’s what makes it last.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, my mission is to create content that inspires people to explore more — whether that means traveling somewhere new, trying a local food spot, or just being more present in their own city. I want my work to feel real, relatable, and experience-driven. It’s not just about showcasing places, but about telling the story behind them — the culture, the people, the vibe.
A big part of my goal is also helping small businesses and lesser-known destinations get the spotlight they deserve. I know how much of a difference visibility can make, and if I can use my platform to help drive attention and foot traffic to a great spot, that’s a win for me. Ultimately, I want to build a space that feels like a go-to resource for people who are curious, adventurous, and looking for more than just the typical tourist experience.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of being a creator is the ability to connect with people through storytelling. Whether it’s sharing a new destination, a hidden food gem, or just a moment from my travels, seeing how my content resonates with my audience — sparking their curiosity or inspiring them to explore something new — is what keeps me going.
I also love the freedom to express myself visually and creatively, while still making an impact. When a brand or destination trusts me to tell their story in a way that feels authentic, and I see that my work makes a real difference — whether it’s driving more people to visit a place or helping a small business grow — that’s incredibly rewarding.
It’s not just about creating for the sake of creating; it’s about creating with purpose and seeing how that purpose connects to the wider world.
