We were lucky to catch up with Kevin, Ricky, and Vladjimir Fervil recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Kevin, Ricky, and Vladjimir thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
It was 9:05pm Chicago time, we were sitting at the kitchen table when Ricky gets this dm. “Yo bro did you see this yet?” … next thing you you hear is “OHHHHHHHHH” – Ricky SCREAMING at the top of his lungs. Vla looks at him and says “what what what???”. Ricky then shows Vla the phone and the next thing you hear is “LETS GOOOOOOO!!!” We immediately look at each other take 10 steps back, run and jump into each other as if its a pregame hype routine, We proceed to do that about 5 more times. Open the front door, take off running down the block, come back in front of the house, and do the in the air chest bump at least 3 more times. Now you might be saying to yourself… “what on earth could possibly get them excited like this”. Two words. Carmelo. Anthony. Carmelo a player who we looked up to since we were in elementary school. We were and still are in love with the game of basketball and he played a major part in that. In the dm that we were shouting over contained an image of Carmelo wearing our ‘Clay’ shorts from our most recent collection into the tunnel for his pregame outfit. Words couldn’t describe how grateful we were and the amount of inexpressible joy that we felt at that moment, To have someone who you’ve admired for years wear your brand was truly a top 5 experience and something that we’ll never forget
Kevin, Ricky, and Vladjimir, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Growing up we were always deeply passionate about fashion but never looked at it through the lens of being designers. As we all grew older and reached the end of our college years, we felt this pull that starting a brand was the right thing to do. We all have a passion of serving and helping others, and we thought that if we could channel that through design and clothing that could be the thing that makes a difference in this world.
For the last few years we have watched the focus of our culture -whether through music or social media- gravitate towards the things once viewed in a negative light. With no knock on this gravitation, on the back end of this shift we feel that there has been a lack of light being shed on positivity and prosperity.
Through sharing pieces that portray some of the very best things in life to us as three Haitian-American brothers, We started All Things Good, a contemporary lifestyle brand that aims to represents just that- all things good, whatever that may be to you, through our fabric. All Things Good is much more than just clothing, it’s a mindset and more importantly an embellishment of what already lies within you.
We always felt that by shifting our focus as a collective, we have the power to shape the future to look however we so choose. We hope with each garment that you are able to become apart of something special to us, while being reminded of all the good things to you on your journey through life.
We have a phrase that goes, ‘The world is your canvas’, and that’s something that we live by. We believe that when we’ve all entered life, we’ve been given this blank canvas – our world. We want to encourage people that you have the power to paint that world of yours with ‘good’ however that may look to you.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
One of the things we think has helped us build a good reputation with the people that shop with us has been the quality of our products. We really pride ourselves on delivering the best quality that we can obtain with the current level that we’re operating at and only plan to continue to grow that as time goes on. From the times when we were using hoodie blanks to the time when we were able to make a leap to cut and sewn clothing, we always tested each product and made sure that we were delivering something that we’re proud of. Something we think that’s also helped us establish who we are in this business has been our attention to detail. From the marketing rollout we do, down to the smallest caption we create for our posts, we pour an immense amount of effort and passion to ensure that we’re delivering at the highest level possible. With each collection and drop we want to create a story and a world around our product and make that message clear to the viewer so that they too can partake in that and be immersed in the world of All Things Good
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
When we got into the world of the business of fashion, we weren’t only in it for the aesthetics, we also wanted to create real change. We wanted to create clothes that were not only pleasing to the eye, but touching to the soul as well.. So for us, its a beautiful thing for us to see anyone take interest in the work that we do, but what’s even more rewarding is when we are able to impact someone in a way that makes them want to go and act on an idea. Inspiration. Our brand is built on the foundation of our faith and how we want inspire people to use those inner gifts that God has blessed them with in their perspective fields and hobbies that they’re passionate about. So to hear anyone say that we have inspired them, or that the message from our work truly touched them means more to us than words can explain.
