We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kevin Estrada. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kevin below.
Hi Kevin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
I took the risk being in college and working at Pizza Hut / Olive garden to quit and go full time into real estate because I was forced to go to a recruitment class after a drunk night in Hollywood. Due to the risk I was able to build a team of realtors and get my loan officer license and buy multiple homes and grow my business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started working as a real estate agent in 2016 because my best friend at the time convinced me to go to a real estate seminar class on how to get started in real estate in Pomona , CA. I was forced to sign up for the class because my friend wanted to do it together. In 2019 when pandemic started I also got my license to originate mortgage loans which is now my bread and butter. I manage a real estate team that is based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and we have a second location in DTLA that I look over. I am the team lead and co-founder of that team. I started my business in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and it took me two years to sell my first home so I had no income. I was really broke. Pandemic really kicked me off because rates were so low. Now I’ve build a great book of business thanks to connections with realtors, past clients, contractors, and other industry professions that refer me clients. I bought a home in Hollywood Hills in January 2024 at the age of 29. This is my 4th property. I sold 2 of them, and right now I have 2. Hollywood Hills & Rancho Cucamonga.
It has not, first two years I had no income, my credit was shot, my friend helped me make a few car payments, and I had no idea what I was doing. I did not have the right guidance or mentality as I do now . I faced obstacles with my age, I looked very young, my confidence, and also a small language barrier with learning how to carry on a professional conversation in Spanish. With practice I got good at it. Most of my clients are Spanish speaking now.
I am most proud of helping clients achieve generation wealth. Its not just buying one home, its about setting up families with homes that they can afford but also build real estate portfolios for themselves and future generations.
I am most proud of seeing the impact we have on communities, families, individuals on accessing stability and growth through home ownership.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Instagram and connecting with other professionals to work their book of business.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
COVID I had to pivot because I learned the business in person face to face and everything became virtual which actually caused me to get much more business . It was my best year yet
