We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kevin Covington . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kevin below.
Kevin , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
Kcsipngo, LLC was developed during Covid but the idea started before Covid. Our owner, Kevin KC Covington, well in love with the idea of making cocktails! The hardest part was getting the perfect recipes of our own. He wanted to be different from other mobile bartending companies. Once we perfected about 20 recipes of our own, we then started in the PopUpShop field. PopUp shops in Nashville, helped develop a name for us. It help get our momentum going and then we started looking into how we could expand into weddings, parties, etc. We found out blueprint by studying and practicing how we wanted out clients to trust us with their event. We did our first wedding for free to get acclimated and the rest is history! It’s been a blessing in disguise because a lot of things took place on the front in during Covid. There were a lot uncertain times due to the pandemic but god made a way!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am Kevin Covington, owner and founder of Kcsipngo, LLC. I’m from memphis, tn but I have been in the greater Nashville area for last decade after graduating from Austin peay state university. I started Kcsipngo during Covid! I always loved a stiff cocktail after a long day. I always wanted to own something as well so one day I sat back and started making recipes. Coming up with recipes took about a year before I could master about 20 recipes. I started off selling bottles margaritas at PopUpShops or delivering them once you placed your order. I expanded a year later following the buzz from clients enjoying our drinks, we finally cracked the scene of doing weddings, private event, party’s and more. I started off at the lowest price, if not for free to get my feet wet. It’s been a blessing how consistently we have been booked for several types of events. I still have a dream of opening a Daquiri shop around the state of Tennessee! I will continue to work harder than anyone so we can see this dream through’ I am most proud that I never gave up on my dream! It can get hard to believe but three years later we are still here. We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to learn how to fairly but make the business financially profit. We provide on making it affordable for a lot of people but we still have to pay our employers and keep product in stock. It’s fun making drinks and doing events but you have to be fair to your business so it can remain afloat. I had to learn and actually study financially how to meet everyone needs and the business needs!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
A lot of people didn’t believe it will work during Covid! I believe that it would. We started off doing delivery’s to people doorstep. It worked for us. We definitely strive during Covid and once the world open back up more; we were able to expand to PopUpShop, weddings and more.
