Around 18 months back, I came up with an idea to convert my storage shed into a Tiki Bar for my loved ones to hang out and have a good time. I put in a month of hard work and dedication to bring my idea to reality. As I began to document the process on TikTok, my videos started to gain traction. Initially, I was just creating content for fun, not expecting it to go viral. However, as the views began to grow, I realized that I could take this path further. I started to explore other social media platforms and was thrilled to see my views increasing there too.

As an individual who is approaching the age of 50, I have always had a penchant for being the focal point of any gathering or event. During my younger years, I was the proud owner of a Mobile DJ Company, which allowed me to provide entertainment services at various functions and private affairs. There was nothing quite like the feeling of seeing so many individuals radiating happiness and joy due to my efforts. I remained in this field for a total of 16 years, taking immense pleasure in my role as the life of the party and finding great satisfaction in witnessing others have the time of their lives..
Back in 2002, an opportunity presented itself for my family and me to relocate to Florida. While I was excited about this move, it meant that I had to give up my DJ business, which was something I had put a lot of time and effort into. However, I was willing to take this step because living in the tropics was my ultimate dream.

Florida has a unique vibe that I have come to love, especially the warm and sunny weather all year round. The abundance of tiki bars serving up delicious tropical drinks only adds to the charm. Despite all this, I still felt a void in my soul from not being able to entertain anymore. This was a passion that I had nurtured for years, and it was tough to let it go.

For a few years, I pondered on how to make it work with my family. My ultimate goal was to find a way to entertain again while still being present for my loved ones. It wasn’t until I started noticing the rising popularity of social media that I saw a glimmer of hope. Watching others entertain the masses through fun videos on their channels sparked an idea within me that I could do the same. With hard work and dedication, I started my own social media channel, and it has been a fulfilling journey ever since.

As an enthusiast of the art of cocktail-making, my primary goal is to assist individuals in mastering the craft from the comfort of their homes. I pride myself on utilizing simple ingredients and illustrating just how effortless it can be to whip up a fantastic drink, whether it’s a classic cocktail or a unique creation of my own. What brings me the most joy is concocting cocktails that elicit comments from my followers, as it encourages engagement and fosters a sense of belonging among my viewers. To me, it’s not just about watching an man enjoy a drink on screen – it’s about creating a community around the shared love of mixology.

In addition to providing cocktail-making tutorials, I host a live broadcast every week where I play trivia or other enjoyable games that promote interaction with my newfound acquaintances. It’s exhilarating to see the same usernames appear on my live stream, and I consider them to be my friends. By fostering this sense of community, I hope to create an environment where individuals can learn, connect, and have fun – all while sipping on a delicious cocktail.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

One of the most satisfying aspects of my foray into the world of mixology is the gratifying feedback that I receive from my supporters regarding the cocktails that I have concocted. It brings me immense pleasure to hear their affirmative remarks and encourages me to continue to craft delectable libations for both my personal acquaintances as well as my online following.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Throughout my journey on social media, I have discovered that consistency is key when it comes to growing an audience. Rather than obsessing over views and followers, I have found that sticking to a regular posting schedule has helped everything fall into place. Additionally, engaging with my followers has been a vital aspect of my success. Taking the time to respond to their comments and involve them in my content has gone a long way in building a loyal fan base.

Of course, it’s not all rainbows and sunshine in the online world. Dealing with haters and hurtful comments can be discouraging, but I try to view it as engagement with my content. Although it’s never easy to read hurtful words, I remind myself that it’s all part of the process and that I shouldn’t let it discourage me. Even when I’ve been called some of the worst things imaginable, I’ve learned to brush it off and keep moving forward. Ultimately, staying true to myself and my passions has been the most important factor in my social media success.
