We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kevin Breeze. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kevin below.
Alright, Kevin thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you recount a story of an unexpected problem you’ve faced along the way?
The most significant challenge I’ve encountered as a full-time social media influencer and content creator is determining which platforms and projects merit the majority of my attention. Given that time is a limited commodity, I must prioritize activities that will most effectively push me towards my goals. Instead of trying to maintain a constant presence on every major social media platform, I’ve chosen to concentrate on just a few. This strategy allows me to produce the highest quality content for my audience.
I’ve also come to realize that it’s perfectly acceptable to decline certain opportunities, even if they seem tempting at first glance. While it’s undeniably exciting when a brand approaches me with a product review proposal or a sponsorship offer for a specific project, it’s important to discern between opportunities that align with my goals and those that simply constitute “busy work.” This kind of work can sidetrack me from projects that genuinely result in growth. In the past, I’ve regretted missing out on more important projects because I was preoccupied with less significant tasks. By being more selective, I aim to ensure that every commitment I undertake adds value to my journey as a content creator.

Kevin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Since 2019, I’ve been full-time in the digital world as a social media influencer, content creator, and online entrepreneur. My journey began with creating tech reviews and tutorials on YouTube, which is still a major part of my business. Over the years, I’ve grown my YouTube channel to more than 200,000 subscribers.
Beyond YouTube, I’m active on Instagram, TikTok, and X, where I highlight my top product recommendations, brands, and services to my audience. It’s exciting how quickly the social media landscape changes and it’s always evolving, which makes what I do especially interesting.
While some aspects of what I do can be monotonous, the kind and grateful comments and emails that I often receive remind me of the true purpose of my work. It’s easy to feel that my videos or tutorials are “pointless” because it’s all the information that is second nature for me, but I have to keep reminding myself that I specialize in my particular field while others don’t and what might not seem valuable to me is actually content and information that’s genuinely helpful to others and saves them time.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My main goal is to show my audience the best tech products and services out there. In addition, I also want to teach them how to use these items to their fullest once they buy them. This is why I love making how-to guides and tutorials along with my reviews.
Reviews can give people a quick idea about a product, but they might not show everything it can do. On the other hand, how-to guides and tutorials go step-by-step, helping users get the most out of what they bought. By making a bunch of detailed videos, I hope to give as much helpful info as I can. It’s all about making sure my audience not only knows about the cool tech but also knows how to use it well.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
Networking both in-person and online with other tech content creators and influencers has been a huge help in my journey as an online entrepreneur. I regret not being more proactive with growing my network earlier in my journey. I’m grateful that the tech content creator community is all about helping each other and collaborations are a huge focus. CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is great for networking in-person and the best online platform for making these connections is definitely X (formerly known as Twitter).
