We were lucky to catch up with Kevica Towns recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kevica, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
I am a person of Queer nature and my dynamic makes people ponder. I am often misgendered because of our daily stereotypes to what a man and woman “should” look like. I am non binary and grateful; to be misunderstood is an acquired feeling.

Kevica, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am Kevica Towns aka V. Soul. I started to branch out into the music scene in 2016 which led me in the peak of 2022 to want to get into other forms of entertainment or professionalism. Such as; modeling and acting. My brand is within and that goes for anyone that explores my name. I am neo soul, old school for a genre and I am me for a model. Everyday I embody learning experiences and the world I wish to touch in so many soulful ways.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission to any success is the art of doing it and the award of achieving it. I am my drive because I want my life to show for who I am and or wish to be as a person. What drives me is me and the will of God to wake me every morning.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is that you are your own worst critic. You are who you watch and learn from and others are who you connect with.
