Hi Kevia, thanks for joining us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.

I grew up in a neighborhood that was known for drugs, violence and poverty. I grew up in a household with my mom and older sister for most of my childhood. My dad battled with drugs, alcohol and prison for most of that time and my mom did her best to navigate adulthood. I saw a lot growing up that helped me at some point to survive until I couldn’t anymore. I remember we had a village when I was coming up. Our village didn’t consist of therapists and doctors but of everyday people making a way out of no way and suppressing the traumas that would come with that way of living. After being in an ongoing battle with my mental health and wellness it was imperative to my life in general to approach my living differently. My main motivation came from nearly losing my life during this battle. I knew with the right information I could see a difference. Which is what led me to create The Executive Sweet.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is Kevia Jones, known to most as Sunni. I am a native Houstonian health and wellness expert. I was compelled to transform my life after suffering personal experiences and battle with anxiety, insomnia and struggles with my mental health. I decided to take control over her own healing process. My health and wellness became the top priority. Mindfulness, living intentionally, body awareness and alternative medicine helped save my life and revealed itself as her purpose to assist others in doing the same. Dedicating my time to establish a household brand.

The Executive Sweet brings awareness of the benefits to taking an alternative approach for not only your mental health, but your overall wellness. Consciously curated hemp products with clean ingredients, cruelty free and vegan.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I believe what helped me build my reputation within the market is being consistent and showing up even on the hard or rough days. I also believe connecting with my customer’s and being transparent with my journey, as well as creating a safe space to help them on their journey with our Highly anticipated SoulFood Sessions, sets me apart from other companies in the industry.

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?

Yes, absolutely.. one-hundred times over. Building this business helped save my life. I have been awarded the opportunity to create products and host unique wellness experiences that would make a difference in my customers’ lives.
