We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful KeUntra & Titiana Smith. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with KeUntra & Titiana below.
Hi KeUntra & Titiana, thanks for joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
In a highly saturated field, we felt taking the risk was necessary. One brand of a line doesn’t give up because there are other people are pushing out the same service or product. They simply keep at it but find way to make themselves unique enough to stand out. We feel we took that initiative in this field. The risk was us putting ourselves out there. We are no where near the popular kids on the block so we knew it would be harder to reach people and get people to support. But the work had to speak for itself and the word of mouth has built us and is still building.
KeUntra & Titiana, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We got started with creating simple party favors for nieces and nephews. During the pandemic we saw the spike in great small businesses and sought the need to help them with a more professional look. We created so many things and impressed ourselves so we decided to take this onto another level. We started with multiple small projects for family members which included customized birthday shirts, family reunion shirts, and etc. We then retrieved one of our biggest orders which set the pace for us dealing with a women’s semi-pro tackle football team creating the design and pressing up their fan gear. In a span of two years we have accomplished so much including being apart of the recent 2023 NADA show with big named car companies. We have so much more in store.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson we had to unlearn is that cheaper is better. That statement only apply better in situations that is not ours. We had to relearn the needs of our customers and quality products. We learned that customers notice when there is a cut back and a lot of times they would rather pay for the better quality. The only moves we make now is getting our hands on great quality which we are known for.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
The great reactions from clients with how we are running our business is priceless. Most think we only run this business which we do try to make everyone our top priority. But in reality we both have very full time corporate jobs in the medical industry. These jobs are how we fund our business and purchase equipment.
