We recently connected with Keundra Johnson and have shared our conversation below.

Keundra, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with a hypothetical question – if it were up to you, what would you change about the school or education system to better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career?

I would implement finance classes teaching students about 401k, taxes, credit, how to save. Set them up for success cause most 20yr olds don’t really know anything about any of that, that’s why most people have debit or poor money management skills these days cause they were never taught how to use it.

My name is Keundra LaShai I am a micro influencer, youtuber, & entrepreneur. I got into the business originally because I love hair and lashes which started LaShaisHairBoutique and I later on added lipgloss. I moved to the Dallas area where I later had an interest in skin care, lash extensions, and waxes so I enrolled in esthetician school at ogle and start Amour Beauty Aesthetics. Slogan: your beauty is my profession. I’m all for self care and making people feel and look beautiful. What makes me different from other entrepreneurs is I don’t follow trends I do what makes me happy I’m very unique and authentic and try and be transparent with everyone. I’m most proud of moving out of my home town and being able to gain clientele in my new city I’m definitely still growing so potential I want to up my clientele, gain more subscribers to my YouTube channel, and make my Instagram more aesthetically pleasing to my audience.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

When I turned 16 and got my first job my mom made me save half of my check so by the time I turned 18 I saved up enough money to fund my business.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

You HAVE to stay active on social media as in you can’t just post 2-3 times a month and think that’s going to cut it you literally have to post 3-4 times a week to keep your audience engaged. The followers/subscribers will come you just have to stay consistent.
