We caught up with the brilliant and insightful KeShun Baber a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
KeShun, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
In retrospect, I find myself contemplating whether I would have preferred to commence my creative career earlier or later. Navigating my teens with limited resources and lacking a business mindset, I now appreciate the advantages that come with age. Over time, I’ve gained access to opportunities that were once beyond reach, and my journey reflects the benefits of maturity and going with the flow strategically.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hello readers, I’m V K, the visionary force behind Leap of Faith, a venture that struck its one-year anniversary on January 27th, and the event was hit. My journey into social media marketing intertwines with the profound story of self-reinvention and resilience, but there’s still so much to learn.
Rooted in personal crossroads where conventional paths eluded me, Leap of Faith emerged as a celestial whisper urging a leap into the unknown. Fueled by a love for music production and DJing since high school, the venture gained momentum through the act of a hustler mindset, and self reflection . Influential figures such as Vybz, Davco, and LeoTizoc left an indelible mark on getting me back into music, shaping my commitment to musical pursuits in the House genre, and my brothers Ronald & Ronnel shaping the road.
Leap of Faith is more than a business; it’s a testament to resilience, reinvention, and the transformative power of taking that initial “Leap of Faith.” Guided by the heartbeat of genuine joy on DJs’ faces as they connect through music, the vision extends globally, aiming to inspire individuals, foster creativity, inclusivity, and community.
As we continue throughout the year, I invite you to join the celebration, connect with the community, and be part of a movement transcending business. Follow @l.ofaith on Instagram, and let’s leap together into a world where passion meets purpose.
Reflecting on my journey, three qualities stand out as pivotal: resilience, networking and collaboration, and adaptability. Embracing setbacks as opportunities, building meaningful connections, and adapting to change are crucial in the entrepreneurial journey.
In the past year, my significant growth lies in embracing the art of navigating uncertainties and going with the flow. Shifting from rigid planning to adaptable navigation, I’ve found opportunities in unexpected turns. My advice to those on a similar path is to recognize that growth often lies in uncharted territories, where surrendering to the ebb and flow of the journey brings the most rewarding experiences.
Join us on instagram, we have a few updates we’re excited to share soon for a celebration that transcends business — a culmination of growth, community building, and a shared love for music. Connect, celebrate, and take your own “Leap of Faith” into a world where every beat resonates with the collective heartbeat of those daring to embrace the journey.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Absolutely, the mission driving Leap of Faith is to inspire individuals to leap towards their endeavors, fostering creativity, inclusivity, and community through the celebration of music and dance. This vision extends globally, aiming to become a recognized force in the entertainment industry, known for a commitment to artistic expression and the discovery of emerging talent. The goal is not only to provide unique and inclusive events but also to create a transformative experience where the shared love for music brings people together on a journey of self-expression and celebration.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
In my view, society can best support artists, creatives, and a thriving creative ecosystem by recognizing the intrinsic value of the arts and implementing the following measures:
1. Cultural Appreciation:
Foster a culture that values and appreciates the arts. This involves promoting diverse artistic expressions and recognizing their impact on social, emotional, and cultural well-being.
2. Education and Accessibility:
Ensure access to arts education for all, regardless of background or economic status. By integrating arts into education, we can nurture creativity from a young age and empower individuals to pursue artistic paths.
3. Financial Support:
Establish and enhance financial support systems for artists, including grants, scholarships, and funding programs. Recognizing the economic challenges often faced by artists, providing financial stability is crucial for a vibrant creative community.
4. Community Spaces:
Develop and maintain accessible spaces for artists to create, collaborate, and showcase their work. Community spaces contribute to the development of a supportive and interconnected creative ecosystem.
5. Promotion of Inclusivity:
Actively promote inclusivity and diversity in the arts. Supporting artists from various backgrounds and perspectives enriches the creative landscape and ensures a more representative and inclusive artistic community.
6. Collaboration and Networking:
Encourage collaboration and networking opportunities. Connecting artists with each other and with different industries can foster innovation, cross-disciplinary projects, and a stronger creative network.
7. Recognition and Celebration:
Acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of artists. Public recognition not only boosts morale but also emphasizes the importance of the arts in shaping societal identity and fostering cultural richness.
8. Policy Advocacy:
Advocate for policies that protect artists’ rights, intellectual property, and fair compensation. Robust legal frameworks contribute to a more sustainable and equitable creative ecosystem.
By collectively embracing these principles, society can create an environment where artists and creatives are valued, supported, and empowered to contribute significantly to the cultural fabric and economic vitality of communities.
