A great example is our work with Brothers Empowered to Teach (BE2T). They needed a post-COVID resurgence, so we rebranded their visual identity, crafted compelling content, and led them to national recognition. Our efforts resulted in over 300k views on their YouTube video and solidified their position as a leader in education innovation. How We Got Into This Work
Our journey into this industry was deeply personal and intentional. After years of working in leadership roles and helping organizations build their legacies, we realized that the time had come to shift focus to our own vision. For Keshona, as the CEO, it was about transforming her passion for mentoring, teaching, and storytelling into something that could empower others on a larger scale. For Jared, as the CCO, it was about combining his years of experience in marketing and brand-building to create lasting impact, not just for himself, but for his community.
We’ve always believed in the power of storytelling—whether in education, community development, or business. Heiress Marketing was born from that belief. We wanted to create a space where we could help others build legacies, both personal and professional, through authentic, powerful branding.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Heiress Marketing began as a side hustle under the name Harris Marketing. While working full-time, I started taking on freelance marketing and branding projects. This was initially just a way to explore my creative passions, but things began to shift in 2020. The birth of my son was a profound gift, inspiring me to think more deeply about the legacy I wanted to leave for him.
However, in the years that followed, I faced significant professional challenges, including being laid off from two leadership roles in 2021 and 2022. These experiences made it clear that it was time to fully invest in myself and build something of my own. That’s when we decided to rebrand as Heiress Marketing—a name that reflects our commitment to legacy-building, not just for our family, but for the clients and communities we serve.
This rebrand marked a turning point, allowing us to scale rapidly and take on larger, more impactful projects. By combining my strategic leadership with Jared’s creative direction, we transformed Heiress Marketing into a full-service agency that helps brands tell their stories in meaningful, lasting ways.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the freedom of self-expression and the ability to help others do the same. Through our work at Heiress Marketing, we don’t just design or create content—we help clients discover and express their own stories. The process of branding and storytelling often leads to self-exploration for our clients, helping them connect deeply with their own values and vision.
For me, it’s about building legacies—not just for myself but for the people and organizations we work with. Helping them craft a narrative that reflects who they are and what they stand for is powerful. It’s about creating something lasting, something they’ll be proud to pass down.
