We were lucky to catch up with Kesha Linder recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kesha , appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is the upcoming The Artist Collection drop that will be dropping in November. This project is inspired by the military. I’m reworking vintage military pieces from the Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marines. It is near and dear to my heart because I’m a veteran. I was in the Air Force and I had many family members who joined the military as well. Even though it was my ideal career path, it help to build a foundation in my life that I am super grateful for. This drop has been challenging and it has pushed my creativity to new level, just like the military did.

Kesha , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Kesha a.k.a Kesha The Stylist. I have worked in the fashion industry for almost 20 years. I have a Master’s in Fashion Merchandising and my expertise is in the secondhand industry. I’ve always loved creating outfits as early as age 5. My Styling work has been published in several publications and I’ve even been on a billboard in Times Square.
I created my company Kesha The Stylist over a year ago now. It in compass a component of reselling vintage clothing, personal styling, and content creation. I help people view vintage clothing in a more fashion forward and stylish way.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
A few months ago, I can up with the idea of dropping The Artist Collection with items inspired by the military. As I began, I started to notice my funds were getting depleted faster and faster. I also received notice that one of my multiple streams of income wasn’t going to happen at that time. I was completely stressed. My creativity was none existent. I didn’t know how I was going to complete this drop or even how I was going to eat, to be real. I had a conversation with my sister. She decided to invest in my drop. I usually don’t express what I’m going through. But the fact that I did, I was able to receive a lifeline. Thank you sis!

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to bring more attention to sustainability in a fashion forward way. Also, to give more spotlight to people of color who believe in a sustainable way to create fashion and styling.
