As the founder of Kesha’s Space, I offer a range of products and services that are designed to help my clients live their best lives. One of the core components of my business is my skincare line, Brown Sugar by Kesha Janaan. This line was created out of my own personal struggles with sensitive skin and my desire to find a solution that was both effective and affordable.
I wanted to disrupt the natural beauty sector by offering natural skincare products that use sustainable and fair trade ingredients. My mission is to make these products accessible to everyone, regardless of their budget.
My products are made with all-natural ingredients and are designed to nourish and rejuvenate the skin, leaving it looking and feeling healthy and glowing. I take pride in the quality of my products and the care I put into every step of the production process, from sourcing the ingredients to packaging the final product.
In addition to my skincare line, I also run a digital marketing agency that helps other beauty and wellness businesses reach their target audience and grow their brand. I understand the challenges that come with building a business, and I am dedicated to providing my clients with the tools and strategies they need to succeed.
I am also a Jazz, Blues, & R&B singer. Music has always been a big part of my life and I am proud to share my passion with others through my performances.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
I currently sell my products on Amazon and Squarespace, my own website, and use the lowest Shopify plan to connect to Walmart.com. Quickbooks is where I primarily manage my backend inventory, making it easier for me to keep track of my stock and make updates as needed.
In the past, I did experiment with selling my products through Cratejoy, but the demand for my subscription model was not sufficient to justify keeping it. I found that my customers preferred the more flexible purchasing options that were available through Amazon and Squarespace.
One of the biggest pros of using Amazon is the reach that they offer. This platform has a large and established customer base, which makes it easier for me to get my products in front of new audiences. Additionally, both platforms provide a streamlined sales process that makes it easier for me to manage my orders and shipments.
The main con, in my view, is that I don’t have complete control over my customer experience when I sell through Amazon. I have to follow their policies and guidelines, which can limit my ability to personalize my brand and offer the exact experience I want for my customers.
Overall, I have found that selling on Amazon and Squarespace has been a good choice for my business, as it has allowed me to reach a wider audience and grow my customer base. I will continue to evaluate my options and make changes as necessary to best serve my customers and meet the needs of my business.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
I believe that the key to managing a successful team is to foster a positive and supportive work environment. Maintaining high morale among team members requires a combination of clear communication, recognition of individual contributions, and a focus on shared goals.
One of the most important things is to ensure that each team member feels valued and heard. This can be achieved through regular check-ins and open forums where team members can share their thoughts and ideas. It is also important to provide opportunities for professional development, whether through training programs or by encouraging team members to take on new responsibilities and challenges.
Another critical aspect of team management is to clearly define roles and responsibilities. This helps team members to understand their contributions to the overall success of the business and ensures that everyone is working towards the same goals.
Finally, it is important to recognize and celebrate the achievements of your team. This can be done through a simple “thank you” or through more formal recognition programs, such as bonuses or awards.
