We were lucky to catch up with Kesha Brown recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kesha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I’ve been thinking a lot about my mission and value proposition and what sets me and my team apart. I went into real estate because unlike most sales jobs, there is a service component to it. Somedays I feel like a financial advisor, others an interior designer, an inspector, a therapist, or a friend. We wear a lot of different hats as agents, but my favorite is being able to protect my clients and act in their best interest. Helping someone find 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄 and navigate an exciting and also stressful part of their life is what it all boils down to.
My dream and mission when I started Modern Wish Bounce House was to have a family business centered around just that, our family. Something we could enjoy and grow together.
The more my family’s business grows, the more I get to put into my family. My husband and I have 4 beautiful children ages 1-18. This small business allows us to not only spend more time together as a family but also teach so many incredible values along the way.
I truly enjoy being a serviced based company for my community!

Kesha, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi Voyage ATL, thanks a ton for this opportunity! As a Georgia native, getting into real estate four years ago was the best career move I have ever made. My previous sales background helped make me successful with the tools I learned along the way but it’s not what keeps me here. Real estate is hard work, it’s discipline, sacrifice, risk and so much more. I left my 9-5 to work 24/7, but it’s worth it. I’ve had an incredible work ethic my entire life, I had to especially with starting my family at such a young age. My children are my reason and always will be. In this business I will say stay true to you and be honest at all cost. I thrive to give my clients the best of me even on the hard days, this is what sets me apart.
One of the biggest take away since I started my career in real estate is how much I truly do enjoy getting involved in my community and the service work it allows me to be apart of. I’m currently a director on our real estate board, involved in multiple committees, 2023 chair of YPN as well as being apart of many organizations within my community. Meeting such truly amazing humans and seeing all the good people do and can do warms my heart like I never experienced before. Real estate has opened my eyes to so much more than I imagined while allowing to create other opportunities like Modern Wish Bounce House.
Modern Wish Bounce House is the more aesthetically pleasing bounce house that everyone wishes they had and now they can. I get to bring joy to so many faces while running this business with my family. I’m just one of the many faces behind Modern Wish.
The support of my inner circle is EVERYTHING! I could not, I repeat I could not do all I do without it and for that I am truly blessed.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
This one is tricky. I do believe your reputation is something to value and protect especially in a small community like mine. But on the other hand I try to keep it real and be myself. I’d like to believe that a “small town” doesn’t always mean “small minded”. Building my reputation when it comes to real estate has just been putting myself out there more and staying true to me. I enjoy making it fun and I believe that shines through. I don’t pretend the be the most intelligent when it comes to real estate or the best around but what I do know to be true is I will go above and beyond for my clients and they know and feel this. I do my very best and if I don’t know something you best believe I will find out and find a way for any situation. I also support those around in the same industry fiercely. #communityovercompetition. This is what I would like to think has built my reputation.
The same can be said for Modern Wish Bounce as well.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
My side hustle Modern Wish Bounce House, has not turned into my full time career. Real estate will always be my full time career but Modern Wish sure does keep me busy with out a doubt. I’m currently putting tools in place like a website to help book, track, make payments etc.. to better assist my customers and work more efficiently. I’m looking to hire someone to bring onto my team for picks ups so my weekends are not so crazy. This business just launched back in May and has already been more of a success than imagined. Long story short on how it started was I wanted a white bounce for my sons first birthday party and I could not find at the time a company that serviced our area; I saw a need and also thought this was something I could do with my family so I went for it. It has not been without its hiccups but that is any business you have. You learn from it and just continue to get better. I see big things for Modern Wish’s future!
