We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kerrieal General. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kerrieal below.
Hi Kerrieal, thanks for joining us today. The first dollar your firm earns is always special. We’d love to hear about how you got your first client that wasn’t a friend or family.
As a new Real Estate agent, you’ll learn to start with your sphere. A real estate sphere of influence consists of all of your connections as a real estate professional. This will include all family, friends, co-workers, and anyone you meet along the way. The world is so big and we may not know who has a need for our real estate services, but we may know someone, who knows someone who has a need. When you talk to people you ask them if they have a real estate need or if they know someone who has a real estate need. Then a few days later when they are talking to someone who needs to buy or sell, they will mention you if you. As long as you stay relevant they will always mention you. By relevant, I mean staying before their eyes. This can be done through text, mail, phone calls, emails, social media, etc. This is how you brand your business and gain clients. My first client came from my sphere. It was a friend of my husband and I. They called my husband and asked if I could assist them with selling their home. They knew I was an agent because I was branded myself and staying before them promoting myself. I was really excited and I felt like a weight was lifted because I struggled as a new agent. So, I recommend to all new agents to start with your sphere and expand from there.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a licensed Florida Realtor. I assist people in obtaining their dream of home ownership. I also assist people who would like to sell a home or invest in real estate. What sets me apart is knowing the market. Knowing the market can help clients make informed decisions. I am most proud of following my dreams and not giving up when times were tough. The greatest feeling is seeing the joy and gratitude that clients feel on closing day. If you choose me as your agent, you’ll receive a genuine, hard working reliable agent, who answers calls.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience is a part of my DNA. I come from a family where I was the first to graduate high school. I was the first to attend and graduate college. For me, resilience started when I became and teenage mother at the age of 17 years old. When I didn’t know where my baby and I would live or where or next meal would come from. I learned how to survive at a young age. I was in the 12th grade when I had her. I still graduated on time from high school. I didn’t let my situation or circumstances stop me.
