As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
J & K style grill was established in 2015, by Kelvin and Latonya Dooley. Who both served in the military for 20+ years. (Dad Army & mom Air Force)As time passed by they began to teach me, Keona Dooley, how to become the CEO and owner of J & K style grill. She Has been leading the restaurant since the age of 9. J&K Style Grill is Home of the Original Waffle Burger, Stuffed Wings and Gourmet Eggrolls. I have won several awards such as Black Diamond Brand “Entrepreneur of the year”. Not stopping there I went on to winning several local food competition (Best or Wings, Burgers and Hotdogs). Keona Dooley owns two food truck and 2 restaurants, private catering, and her very own cookbook. J&K has been built off of amazing customer service, unique food concepts, and bold flavors. She has catered to many local and world wide celebrities; govenors, R&B singers,rappers, and gospel artist all before the age of 17
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients will always be word of mouth. If one person enjoys what you do it is guarantee that they will speak highly about you to the next person they encounter. Customers will come out there way to try new things that they see people raving about. Then it’s social media, Social media will always have its highs and lows but for getting your name out for free nationally that Is the way to go. It opens up many doors for letting your brand pop up on many new pages that may not have been able to see it before.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
The biggest advice I can give your team is “Attitude is a Reflection of Leadership. ” No matter how big or small the problem your attitude towards things should never change. A Great Attitude is a point of view that many big or small businesses miss. You’re attitude is the morale of how people see you. When a customer is not satisfied and gets loud, the attitude we give back catches them off guard and we resolve most situations calmly. Positive Attitude yelds Positive Results.
