Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kenzie Isaacs. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kenzie , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
For as long as I can remember I’ve always had an itch for art, I think I first new I wanted to do art professionally when my mother got me my first paint set, it was used and very vintage, along with a vintage painting shirt. I fell in love instantly and haven’t stopped sense!

Kenzie , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve been a Dayton local artist for about 5 years! I’ve been painting and sculpting for 13 years and tattooing for 3! I’ve always done many forms of art for as long as I can remember but moving to Dayton really gave me momentum to take my craft farther! I specialize in surrealism painting and tattoos, you can find me vending all over the dayton area! thats currently what im most proud of, i love setting up all over and getting to meet great people! My biggest character you’ll see around is Ila! I gave her her only little story on Instagram, she is my most favorite to paint and loved by many, while she isn’t always my focal point, you can always find a little bit of her in all my work!

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
My biggest influence or impact I’ve had, I’d say, would be Marina Abramović a Serbian conceptual artist and performer, all of her works. Have always left me and many others im sure, speechless and empowered. I couldn’t put into words how her brain makes my brain work but I always put 100% into what I’m working on, no matter how uncomfortable or taboo or raw the topic, something beautiful and unspoken is gonna come out of that piece, channeling her or her work, have brought out some of my best pieces.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I’d say the most rewarding for me is seeing a peice finished the way I envisioned it to but most importantly, vending and tattooing, I love hearing all the different interpretations of my art and gratitude for showing it to the public. Meeting so many people who see my vision for what it is, is truly so motivating and uplifting. I couldn’t think of anywhere else I’d want to be!
