Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kenya Suncar. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kenya, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think it takes to be successful?
But what is success, really? How do we measure this amazing word that we are all chasing after?
Do we measure it by the amount of money in our bank account? How fancy our car is? Or how happy we feel on a Tuesday afternoon?
When I started my business, I was certain that my success was measured by the revenue I brought in. As a coach, I’m a solopreneur, so I did it all on my own to grow my business. You know the list: marketing, sales, content creation, nurturing warm leads, finding cold leads, leading seminars, etc., etc., etc.
Many months, I was doing all this with very little financial return compared to the time I spent working on scaling my business. And so, I considered myself a failure. I almost quit.
Seeing my clients move forward, reaching their goals, and feeling more empowered by working with me wasn’t part of my definition of success. I was so focused on revenue that I left behind an important part of success: social impact.
As a mindset coach, I knew I wasn’t doing it right. So, I shifted my perspective. I realized that I needed to stop believing that success only equaled tons of money in my account.
Here’s what I learned: Success is truly and consistently believing in yourself, even when the money you want to create isn’t there.
Success is shifting the focus from how much money I am making to how many people I am impacting for greatness—including myself.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Kenya Suncar, a certified life coach, yoga instructor, and meditation practitioner. I help women scale their soul-aligned businesses, five figures at a time. My main focus is on mindset, confidence, time management, and constant execution to reach their business goals. My journey into this industry is deeply personal, shaped by my own transformation after one of the hardest periods of my life—my divorce.
At that point, I felt overwhelmed and unsure of my future. I was a single mom, working a demanding 9-5 job, and I often wondered how I’d find the time and energy to create the life I dreamed of. But I decided that I would not let my circumstances define me. Instead, I went deep into myself, in mindset work and personal growth. With this work,I learned to change my perspective, to see challenges as opportunities, and to take control of my thoughts. The result was transformative: I started to create exactly the life I wanted.
Inspired by my own journey, I knew I had to help others do the same. I became certified in life coaching, yoga, and meditation—tools that I had used to ground myself, build resilience, and find joy even during the most stressful times. And thus, my business was born.
Today, I work with women who are building businesses but feel overwhelmed—juggling family, a full-time job, and their entrepreneurial dreams. I understand the feeling of being pulled in a hundred directions because I’ve been there. My work is all about helping my clients create a thriving business while also creating space for themselves to rest, grow, and enjoy the journey. I show them that success isn’t just about hard work; it’s about alignment, clarity, and nurturing yourself every step of the way.
What sets my approach apart is that it’s rooted in experience. I’m not just teaching theory; I’m teaching what I lived through. My “Sunday Hour Zero” method, where we plan our weeks with clear goals while ensuring we prioritize our well-being, is a cornerstone of my coaching. I also emphasize mindset shifts, like overcoming imposter syndrome, taking bold actions, and finding the confidence to show up fully to scale their business five figures at a time.
I am most proud of the impact I’ve had on my clients. Watching them grow, break through their self-doubt, and realize that they are capable of much more than they ever imagined—it’s truly the best part of what I do. I’ve helped over 50 women believe in themselves and thrive not just in their business but in all areas of life.
I want people to know that your dreams are valid. You don’t have to be perfect, and you don’t have to have all the answers. You just need to believe in yourself enough to take the first step, and I’m here to help you every step of the way. My work is about more than just business growth—it’s about growing from within, aligning with your true self, and building the life you deserve.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I came to the USA when I was 24 years old, ready to start from scratch and build a better life. Back in the Dominican Republic, I worked as a journalist, but due to language barriers, I couldn’t continue that career here. Still, I was determined to make a better life for myself. So, I started waiting tables wherever I could to make a living. But even then, deep down, I knew I was made for more.
Somewhere in between, my then-husband and I welcomed our daughter, Emma. This pivotal moment changed my life. I was inspired to find a way to consistently provide for my newborn, so I decided to shift careers and enrolled in a Master’s program to become a Spanish teacher in New York.
Going to school at night was not easy. After caring for my baby all day—often through sleepless nights—I would attend classes. On top of that, I faced the challenge of studying in a new language, English, which meant I had to work harder than my peers. When it was time to take the certifications required by the New York State Department of Education, I failed a couple of times. But this did not discourage me from my goal. I knew I had the resilience to keep going, even when things were tough.
After two years in the Master’s program, I succeeded. I became a teacher and was hired by one of the best schools in my area.
Then, I decided to become an entrepreneur—a mindset and business coach for women entrepreneurs, specifically. In this journey, I have faced many challenges, moments where I felt like giving up. But whenever I felt defeated, I reminded myself of all the times I had overcome obstacles—like when I decided to become a Spanish teacher against all odds—and I made sure to push forward once again.
As a result, I am now successfully supporting women in scaling their businesses from within, with the same resilience that allowed me to scale my own. I help them overcome their barriers, trust their potential, and keep moving forward—just as I did.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I consistently nurture my clients by being the face of my brand and staying actively engaged in their journey. I keep in touch through social media, where I share valuable content, personal stories, and motivational insights to help them feel supported and connected. I also use email marketing to deliver regular updates, tips, and exclusive resources to add value and foster a sense of community.
Beyond social media and emails, I also hold live webinars and Q&A sessions, which allow me to interact directly with my clients, addressing their needs and concerns in real time. I prioritize accessibility, so my clients always know they have a trusted partner in me. Whether it’s a quick message of encouragement or celebrating their milestones, I stay present to remind them that their growth is just as important to me as it is to them.
By being visible, accessible, and genuinely invested in their success, I have been able to foster strong relationships and brand loyalty—my clients know they are never alone in their journey, and that makes all the difference.
