We recently connected with Kenny Moore and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kenny, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
It was in college when I first knew I wanted to pursue a creative path. I was taking a jazz piano class and while practicing I starting creating my first song. The adrenaline rush I got from coming up with my own music pushed me towards the creative path
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a songwriter, author, composer, and content creator. I am the CEO of Keeping Alive New Music Collective LLC and we’ve been in business since January 2021. I got my start in music production back in 2001 and have been writing songs since 1999. I’m a multi-instrumentalist and composer that creates music for all genres. I’ve worked on projects and events with Karen Clark-Sheard, Vickie Winans, Jules Bartholemew, and more! KANMC provides creative content services including songwriting, music production, audio/video podcast production, and more! We can assist from start to finish in your creative process. We have a team of writers, musicians, and content creators to service any and all of your creative needs. What I am most proud of is the writing and publishing of my book “The Struggle To Get To Destiny” which I co-wrote and published through Speak Life Publications.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part of being a creative is seeing the final product that comes from the creative process. Whether it’s hearing the final version of a song I wrote and produced or watching podcast I recorded and produced, there’s no greater feeling than seeing all the hard work that goes into being a creative come to life!
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
The best story I can share about my resilience is the process of writing my book. The book was supposed to co-written by myself and my late wife. She unfortunately lost her battle to liver and kidney disease while we were writing the book so I had to complete the writing of the book on my own. It was a very difficult process where I had to stop many times due to overwhelming grief. Finishing the book turned out to be therapeutic and everyone that has read the book found inspiration from our story.
