We were lucky to catch up with Kennon Wright recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kennon, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I started Blanc and Noire Skincare because I had extremely dry and sensitive skin and could never could find a moisturizer that was long lasting.
When I envisioned Blanc and Noire Skincare I wanted to create a brand that smelled great, used ingredients that fit my skin’s need, and was inclusive so people felt like they had a tribe of support for their dry and sensitive skin type.
After a year of countless hours researching, taking courses, and many late nights, creating the perfect formula to see what worked best, I eventually mastered our staple product, that is our best selling whipped body butters.
From there I shared my recipes with close friends and family and started the journey of owning a small business.
Kennon, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
As a Human Resource Professional I understand how hard it is to multi task, prioritize, and attend to things that can happen at any minute!
I go through life giving 100% to other things, people, etc. and oftentimes leave my self-care and well-being last ,therefore, I understand the difficulty of trying to manage a multi step skincare routine thats expensive, and helps you look better than you feel.
Blanc and Noire Skincare allows people to experience a minimal and effective skincare routine that incorporates self-care into their daily rituals to make you feel, look, and perform better.
All of our products are handcrafted in small batches and made to order allowing freshness and one of a kind experience!
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele is treating and thinking of my clientele as friends! I aim to create relatable and educational content, while showing my personality through personal conversations/post.
I want my clientele to tell me everything good and bad about their experience so I can improve as a business man.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Social media has been the best source for new clients. When a person starts to follow, like your post, or comment on your reels/stories, it allows an opportunity of open conversation and to see what sparked their interest.
