We recently connected with Kenneth Williams and have shared our conversation below.
Kenneth , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
Legacy? Great question— My intentions with Ken Chronicles Media (KCM) is to build a strong infrastructure. A company that is unwavering in ethics & core journalism.
I want the general population to read stories/ coverages from KCM that are free of bias. KCM was created as a channel to get out REAL INFORMATION that the masses will learn from, and be informed. After I have reached my apex in this industry, I feel as though people will stamp my career as very CONSISTENT.
To be remembered in an industry that you love, is the quintessential goal! I want to be remembered as a revered journalist who has inspired the upcoming talent in the media world.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Well, I have been writing for years—it’s not something that I randomly thought of pursuing, it’s my lifestyle and passion! I decided to create KCM a few months prior to the pandemic. The urge to legitimize my craft met perfect timing—I felt that it was time for me to engage in an industry as an asset, while providing core journalism that is gimmick-free.
Media/Journalism is expanding, and the avenues in which we receive information will continue to flourish. KCM has a commitment to excellence as a well-read publication and consistency is key!
Media/Journalism Matters.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I began my journalism/media journey in music. I was faced with many challenges from artists who I have worked with. One challenge that spreads widely across artists is the ability the understand their intentions with their craft.
Many artists are emotionally driven, it’s ‘art,’ right?? So, given that dynamic, I now understand that it’s imperative for me to understand the balance between dealing with their emotions and staying focused with the goal at hand—it’s a part of media/journalism that isn’t spoken about enough. We are all creators, morale has to be at an all-time high when creating. That has been my professional learning lesson thus far.
I am growing.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn a lot! I come from the print era of journalism. The digital age of journalism is quite different—there’s no backstory, however, the adjustments have been welcoming.
“Nothing is new to me, but I am still learning.” ~ Ken
