We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kenneth Rountre. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kenneth below.
Kenneth, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My parents instilled in me values that have been the foundation of my life and career. They always emphasized the importance of humility, perseverance, and faith, and those lessons have shaped who I am today. One story that comes to mind is when I was a teenager, struggling with self-doubt and the pressure of what others thought about me. I remember my mom and dad sitting me down and telling me, “It doesn’t matter what others say or think about you. What matters is how you see yourself and how God sees you.” That conversation stayed with me and taught me to focus on my own journey rather than getting caught up in the opinions of others.
Another key lesson they taught me was to never give up, no matter how tough things get. I remember being involved in church plays, and sometimes things wouldn’t go as planned—lines would be forgotten, or someone would miss a cue. My parents would always encourage me to keep going, to push through the challenges, and to trust that everything would work out as long as I put my heart into it and kept God at the center.
These lessons have not only guided me in my personal life but also in my career. Whether I’m facing a difficult project at work or navigating the ups and downs of the entertainment industry, I always remember to stay humble, persevere, and keep my faith strong. And no matter what, I remind myself not to worry about what others might think, as long as I stay true to who I am and the values my parents taught me.

Kenneth, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
For those who may not be familiar with me, my name is Kenneth Rountree, and I’m an actor, creative professional, and Partner Success Manager. My journey into the entertainment industry started at a young age, growing up in the church where I sang and participated in plays. That early experience ignited a passion in me for performing and being in front of the camera. Over the years, I’ve honed my craft by constantly learning, observing, and perfecting my skills. I’m a listener at heart, always open to new ideas and eager to soak up knowledge, which has made me quite diverse in my approach to acting and my professional life.
One of the things I’m most proud of is my resilience and determination to keep going, no matter what. There was a time when I set my acting career aside to focus on other responsibilities, but I never lost sight of my passion. Now, I’m back in the game, stronger than ever, and fully committed to pursuing my dreams. I’m proud of my ability to pick myself up and continue forward, even when the path isn’t always clear.
In addition to my work as an actor, I also have experience in the business world, specifically in my role as a Partner Success Manager. This position has allowed me to bring my diverse skill set to the table, offering solutions and support to our clients to help them succeed. What sets me apart is my ability to listen and understand the needs of those I work with, whether in a business or creative setting. I believe that true success comes from collaboration, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals.
As I continue to grow in my career, I want potential clients, followers, and fans to know that I’m dedicated to excellence in everything I do. Whether it’s delivering a powerful performance on screen or providing top-notch service in my professional role, I’m all in. My brand is built on the values of perseverance, humility, and a commitment to continuous improvement. I’m excited about the journey ahead and grateful for the opportunity to share my talents with the world.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
A significant pivot in my life came when I decided to join the military. It was an interesting time for me because, just before that, my acting career was starting to take off. I had landed my first commercial, and things were really moving in the right direction—I even had my own posters and my picture on Mountain Dew cans. It felt like my dreams were finally coming to fruition.
However, despite the momentum I was building in my acting career, I felt the military was the best route for me at the time. It was a tough decision because I knew that joining the military would mean putting my acting aspirations on hold. But I also knew that the experiences and discipline I would gain in the military would ultimately make me a stronger and more versatile person, both personally and professionally.
The pivot was challenging, but it was also incredibly rewarding. The military taught me resilience, teamwork, and the importance of dedication—qualities that have served me well in all areas of my life, including my acting career. While it was difficult to step away from the opportunities that were unfolding, I never lost sight of my passion for acting. When I eventually returned to the entertainment industry, I came back with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper understanding of what it means to commit fully to something.
In hindsight, joining the military was a pivotal moment that shaped who I am today. It taught me that sometimes, taking a step back or pivoting in a new direction can lead to even greater opportunities down the road. Now, I’m back in the acting world, more focused and driven than ever, and I’m grateful for the journey that brought me here.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The driving force behind my creative journey is a deep passion for acting and a relentless desire to make it to the big screen. It’s something that has been with me for as long as I can remember—this feeling that I’m meant to tell stories, to connect with people through my performances, and to leave a lasting impact. I’m not just in this for the fame or recognition; I’m in it because it’s what I love to do, and I believe I have something meaningful to contribute to the world of entertainment.
Another major motivator for me is my daughter. I want to be an example for her, to show her that no matter how tough the journey gets, you should never quit on your dreams. I want her to see that with hard work, determination, and faith, anything is possible. My goal is to leave a legacy that she can be proud of—a statement that says, “No matter where you start, you can achieve greatness if you never give up.”
Ultimately, my mission is to create a lasting impact, not just in my career, but in the lives of those who look up to me, especially my daughter. I want to inspire her and others to chase their dreams with everything they’ve got, just as I’m doing with mine.
