Hi Keniah, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

Just like any good movie , the story leading up to success is the most vital part. My story began in 2020 during the global pandemic. During this time I was a 18 year old senior who had just lost her grandfather and was stripped of her entire senior year. Like many, I was depressed, and completely unmotivated. I felt as though I lost myself and I was drowning in life. Around the end of march, I decided I wanted to start a business, but I wanted something that would have a major impact. I decided to center my brand around beauty and esthetics in hopes of helping people that may have felt inadequate at some point like I did. Since a freshman, I would stress heavily about my weight, and apperance because I didn’t feel ” as pretty” as other girls I saw, and I wanted to change that. Not only for myself, but for everyone that I come in contact with. My mission is simple yet very complex. I want to make every one feel beautiful regardless of your looks, gender, weight, or social status.

Hello everyone, My name is Keniah Tenison, (also known as Niaah LeAnne on most social platforms) and I am a Youtuber, Financial advisor, and the CEO of Niaah’s Boutique. Niaah’s Boutique was founded on April 28,2020 in homage to my late grandmother,Mary Dabbs. We specialize in a multitude of personalized hair services, as well as Mink eyelashes, and a collection of hydrating lipglosses which are vegan and cruelty free. We aim to create an avenue that allows everyone to feel beautiful regardless of your gender, weight, race, social class, or anything else that society deems ” less than”.
I believe our care for our customers is what sets us apart. We strive to provide affordable products and services while still maintaining an exemplary level of quality.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I built my social media audience through Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter. My first piece of of advice however, would definitely have to be ” BE AUTHENTIC”! A lot of times I feel like people get lost in trying to fit into a specific ” look” or “aesthetic”. People want to see what sets you apart from everyone around them.Post what you like, wear what you like, and just be who you are. Consistency is probably the second most important thing. Nobody will remember you if they never see you. Post your content and promote yourself ,somebody is always watching. How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

Funding my business was somewhat of a struggle as a young entrepreneur. When I started, I decided to take all of my graduation money and invest it into myself. I started with small payments to ease my way into the industry rather than overspending. I also had a great support system and my father helped me build my hair inventory. From there we just began to build brick by brick and establish a strong platform.
