We were lucky to catch up with RudeboyFlexxx recently and have shared our conversation below.
RudeboyFlexxx, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
My first song I ever recorded was called “Up Next” I was 11 years old my brother “Gregory Stakks” played a big part in the first song I recorded because he wrote the verse for me. I didn’t even know how to count bars at first I just had a passion for Music. After hearing my voice in the song that’s when I knew i could really be a star. I perfected the craft and started writing my own songs and they sounded like Hits you would hear on the Radio. So I told myself it’s time ..time to take this music seriously and Make it ..

RudeboyFlexxx, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I come from a City named “Arlington tx” where everyone wants to become a Rapper . But I’m different I always aimed to be unique, Coming from Arlington where everyone had the same kinda dreams makes it harder to be successful. This city is a Crab in a Bucket and nobody wants you to be better then them. I was inspired by Gregory Stakks ,Supa Dave, 50 cent, Eminem, Jadakiss, lil Wayne, and groups like UGK, Outkast, NoLimit, Ruff Ryders, and More.
My Focus is to always be consistent dropping more content, videos singles, and Albums. Also exploring different avenues in the industry such as acting, Modeling, and Podcasting.
My mission is to finally land a Deal with a Major Record label. I have been a independent artist for 10 plus years now it would be a big Relief to have a Label behind me distributing my Music in the right places. Being independent has its Pros and Cons on the pro side I have had control of everything I done the shows I perform and book the type of music I drop and when I drop it my image My choice. The Con side of being independent is the Price of being a rapper can be very expensive,Studio time, music videos,Graphics, and much more. Being independent can be very stressful at times When you don’t have the help or Resources to be successful.
I have came a Long ways by Myself dropping Multiple projects, paying for about 12 plus Music videos witch are on YouTube, doing Multiple photo shoots ,and traveling all over the world performing paying out of pocket for all. This is why I personally would like to Sign Now of course you gotta Pay to make music, But you also gotta pay to Live ,pay to eat and Sleep. Nothing is free no matter how talented you are The Music industry is different now days it’s more about popularity and business not talent.I’m willing to what ever it takes to make it!!!!

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My ultimate mission is to be a role model to younger artists that need guidance and to put my whole family in a good position we’re they will never have to work too hard for the things they want. My kids my siblings (two sisters two brothers) my mother , granny and my close friends Trok, Supadave , Rudeboy Lyhan,Dell and Nell and everyone else who was close to me.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
I wish I would of went to college and finished school. I feel like music and school could go hand to hand as far as vocabulary reading writing and coming up with unlimited ideas. Also networking and spreading the music being around a lot of students that got one purpose in life witch is being successful in all areas.
