Alright, Kendra thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you have any advice regarding quality control and maintaining quality as your brand grows?

Sustainability at K.Collections is what sets our e-commerce luxury beauty company apart. As Kendra’s Collections company grew, maintaining and even improving product quality became a top priority. Here’s how we managed to uphold our commitment to quality, including the implementation of quality controls, and some advice for others concerned about quality control as they grow:

Supplier Selection and Monitoring: Kendra’s Collections initially sourced hair extensions from a select group of trusted suppliers known for their high-quality virgin hair. As the company expanded, we continued to evaluate and monitor these suppliers rigorously. This included regular visits to their facilities, audits of their manufacturing processes, and stringent quality checks on incoming raw materials.

Quality Assurance Team: We established a dedicated quality assurance (QA) team responsible for inspecting each batch of hair extensions before they were shipped to customers. This team was well-trained and followed a comprehensive checklist to ensure that products met our high standards. They identified and addressed any irregularities promptly.

Feedback Loop: We encouraged customers to provide feedback on their purchases. This feedback loop helped us identify any emerging quality issues or areas for improvement. Customer insights played a significant role in refining our product quality.

I’m Kendra K formally known as Ken K on social media from Miami Lakes, Florida. My love for entrepreneurship was influenced by my environment, passion for beauty and encouraging overachieving women like myself who long for the most of out life.

I’ve gained supporters simply by showing up as my authentic chic-styled self on social media and sharing engaging tips and tricks. I longed for my very own beauty products at the age of 19. I set K. Collections off as an all in one resource for women looking to elevate their appearance. I offer luxurious virgin Mongolian hair extensions, vegan cosmetics and hair care accessories.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

My mom invested in my first batch of inventory! I was able to purchase 30 3D false-lash extensions on Alibaba. She did this genuinely and didn’t ask for any of the profit made. I couldn’t have kickstarted my business without her.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

Your success story is not determined by others, a degree or societal norms. It’s up to you! I’ve failed many times and chose not to give up. Your story is apart of your divine purpose if you are living in your truth.
