Hi Kendra, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

In 2020 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 33. When I started treatment I instantly loss my hair. I was devastated that my hair was gone so I had to come up with a solution because I did not want to walk around with a bald head. So I turned to wigs but I needed wigs that I could take off at night. Thats when I got into the custom glueless wigs. What gets me most excited about these wigs are they’re great for people on the go, beginner friendly and also great for cancer patients. With these custom wigs they ship to you ready to wear straight out the box. .

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I’m a well rounded stylist. I’m a wig maker, braider, and Im also a hairstylist in the film industry. Hair is my passion. I’ve been doing hair since I was in 8th grade. But I really started taking it serious in 2017. Once I finished cosmetology school. I stepped out on faith left my 9-5 job opened a salon and never looked back.

Im proud that I have never gave up. Entrepreneurship is hard. Don’t get fooled by watch you see on social media. People don’t show you everything. You just have to believe in your brand and everything will work itself out.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

How I built my social media presence when my client comes for there hair appt. I aways ask them if they could tag me. Marketing is so important when you have a business. My advice to new business owners Is promote promote . promote. When one client leave 2-3 more clients come. Your clients are your walking billboard.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

When I was going through active chemo I didnt let that stop me. Everyday I was exhausted barely could make it up the stairs after work but I kept going. I didnt let my condition cripple me. I KEPT GOING!
