We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kendra Donlin. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kendra below.
Hi Kendra , thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I think it takes perseverance to be successful. When I started my business in 2021 it was still peak Covid times. There was a lot of unknowns. All I remember was thinking to myself, I’ve got to make this work. I started small with 2-3 clients then within the year was coaching around 15+ clients. I have had the best time meeting with all types of people and hearing their goals and how they want to change their lives. I love being apart of something bigger and more impactful. Every day is different and not all days are easy but that’s what makes you great and successful. How you handle these challenging times and continue to persevere!

Kendra , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started my company Kendra Caroline Fitness LLC because I wanted to help other people feel confident. I was a D1 swimmer and athlete most of my life which was a big reason why I started my business because of how passionate I am with fitness I wanted to share my love for training. Being a Personal Trainer there are a lot of shifts in scheduling, and day to day changes. That can sometimes be a challenge but at the end of the day it’s all about how I can help support my clients. I offer one on one personal training and semi-privates.
What sets me apart from my peers would be how I approach fitness with my clients. I take a very clam and patient approach. I make sure my clients feel comfortable and trust me and my programming. Once they know how I train and who I am I can start to progress them further.
“Never Regret The Sweat!” Is my business moto.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Starting a business during Covid kind of says it all. If you don’t have resilience to push through, how can you help others? My main reason for keeping my business a-float is knowing that my clients depend on me!

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I love this question because it’s so important! I’m in constant communication with clients. After every session I always make sure to check in via text and ask “How do you feel?” It’s so crucial that they know I care about how they feel post training but I think it also fosters a great relationship between the two of us. It also helps me understand how my programming for that day made them feel and if I need to make any adjustments moving forward.
