We were lucky to catch up with Kendra Chantelle recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kendra, appreciate you joining us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
I am truly meant to be a creative/entrepreneur. I get really stifled doing the same thing every day and I love a forever changing work scape.
Some weeks, I teach many voice lessons and work on some affiliate marketing content. Other weeks I do recording sessions and sing on records for major artists or film a performance video or have a show. Some weeks, I do all of the above! Some weeks… none of it falls. I thrive in the variety and I never feel bored.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a multi passionate so my special skill sets cover a bit of ground.
As a holistic vocal coach, I help artists understand, exercise and take care of their voice and its intricacies. I love to use a blend of vocology (voice science), intuition & holistic wellness and blend those with my own 20 years+ experience as a professional vocalist.
As a singer, I love to bring a song or a background part to life. I’ve always felt like singing is my first language and the way I communicate, emotionally, with my instrument, is sacred to me.
The last couple of years I have leaned into affiliate marketing on social media- I am incredibly intentional about aligning with brands/products I actually use and believe in and I love sharing with my following what I’m learning and loving.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
I am such a fan of the books ‘atomic habits’ and ‘the compound effect’. I recommend them to clients constantly!
I did 75 hard with my best friend 3 years ago and those books were part of our daily tasks and they just made so much sense to me. When I began to implement what learned, my efficiency grew immensely.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The ‘goal’ driving my career has changed more times than I can count and I am certain it will do that soooo many more times.
My only real goal is to continue to be authentically me and say yes to things that feel like full body yeses and listen when my first instinct toward something is ‘no’.
I do make a vision board/list of dream opportunities every year and it is always fulfilling to see those come to fruition!
