Alright, Kendara thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about how you went about setting up your own practice and if you have any advice for professionals who might be considering starting their own?

I have been involved in Metaphysics ,for over 50 years. My journey started when I attended a Metaphysical convention in Miami Florida. During one of the workshops, a speaker mentioned that most people only use 10% of their minds and that the rest is Spiritual. This comment was the key that unlocked a lifetime process of connecting with Spirit and helping others do the same. The first step was to take as many Psychic development and healing and other spiritual coursese available. I also connected with several Spiritual churches, where I met incredible teachers and began giving readings.

I think I would do nothing different, except trust my intuition more. I also recommend strongly that anyone wanting to develop and get in touch with their Intuition meditate at least once a day.

I think the best, most effective way to develop a business in this field is to connect with as many others in this area that you dan. Meetups are a wonderful way to do this. So is contacting as many Metaphysical shops in your area to see if they can use another reader. in their shop Also, take as many classes as you can. Just keep practicing and trust the proess

Kendara, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I have been invvolved in Metaphysics of over 50 years. I have taken classes, taught many classes in healing, and tarot, I Ching, Psychic Development and more. I also run a 6000 plus member Introduction to Metaphysics Meetup. II am an intuitive counselor and offer readings both online and in person.

I believe everyone is psychic and love helping people discover and develop their gifts. I also specialize in helping people with manifestation and shifting beliefs which are self sabotaging, so they can attain their goals.

I am a caring, gifted counselor who loves helping people and assist them in finding answers they need for self empowerment.

Have you ever had to pivot?

I have been involved in Metaphysics for over 50 years. I began by taking and teaching many classes, giving psychic readings and participating in psychic fairs. During the time I was doing all these things, I also had corporate jobs.

All this changed in 2009 when my job at the Denver Post ended. When this happened, I decided to devote myself full time to working in the Metaphysical field.

I created a Metaphysical Meetup group, and invited various experts in the Field of Metaphysics to present and share their areas of expertise.

So basically, having one job end, allowed the window to create an entirely different career path.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?

Other than training/knowledge, I believe a passion for what I do is essential. This passion gives me the push to go out every day and share my gifts and knowledge. It also allows me to connect with others and help them discover their gifts and connect with other like minded souls.
